kind of sweet
Cuba tucks a lock of Canada’s hair out of his face, but then leaves it tangled there. He likes to touch Canada, who is strangely warm for a northern nation. “Russia is looking at you again,” he mutters, glancing to the left where Russia is trying to be discreet about watching them. Usually Canada replies that, no, Russia is in fact looking at Cuba, but he breaks the mold this time.
“He’s looking at both of us,” he says, “It’s kind of sweet.” Cuba knows that look on Canada’s face. Even as Canada leans into his hand, his eyes are on Russia discreetly, and his lips are drawn into that small, wistful smile that he had spent a decade looking at Cuba with.
“You think so?” Cuba asks. That look surprises him. A smile crawls on to his face. Canada kisses his cheek.

I noticed and skipped over this fill at least three times when digging through part 14, because Canada/Cuba just does nothing for me. Like, at all. But I'm really glad that something made me read it, 'cause you got the poly dynamic right. <3 It's adorable and sexy; even though you didn't go for outright smut, it's really, truly sexy. :D
Everyone's reactions were kind of amusing -- especially France and England's, each in their own way -- but I'm kind of glad you left them mostly in the background. Because, honestly? These are consenting adults in a perfectly functional relationship, and sometimes adults just have to forget about what others think and just love and live how they please. Just reading that made me so happy, too. :D
I'd love to see more of this, honestly, because you just spawned a little 'verse in my head. XD

I'm glad that you think it's sexy and that I got the dynamic right... this wasn't as easy to write as my previous fills for this request. There would definitelly have been at least a light lemon somewhere in there, but the request was for nonporn, soooooo...
I'll write you another scene or two if you want something specific, but otherwise I'm not sure what else I would do! I sort of pulled this out of nowhere.

Really? :D Well, I kind of was wondering how their daily lives would go, if they actually got to spend lots of time together outside of meetings and short visits. Like, if they got a whole week or two of vacation together, what on earth would they do? Besides the obvious. XD I'm having trouble imagining, since I have no idea what Russia might do in his free time, especially since I'm used to imagining him alone

Co...inspirator, I guess. Authornon and I are currently cowriting/rping a scene for these three out of this headcanon that is plenty of wibbles and plenty of angst. X33 And isn't that nickname just perfect? I mean really. I'm thinking of throwing some China into something else I'm doing just for a change of perspective, but I'm not very good at most characters yet. Prussia, for example, or Sweden. My Russia's a bamf though.
