The Ok Go show Thursday night at Logan Square Auditorium was amazing, as usual. Every time I see those boys they have a new fun part added to show, and this time was no dissapointment. I also went to the instore the next day, and have a few pictures.

There were three opening bands. Three, for a show starting at 9:15pm. Somewhere at the beginning of the third band's set, I began to wonder if anything was worth this; fortunately, it so totally was.

Well tonight's Hodgman extravaganza was, as advertised, different from yesterday's and equally awesome. I brought my camera this time, and took lots of pictures, some of which I am very pleased with. The entire album is here.

I just got home from seeing John Hodgman speak at the Borders down the street from me. It was amazing. Let me relate my experience to you.

It was almost exactly a year ago that aliste and I first saw Sufjan Stevens at the Metro on his Illinoise tour, and yesterday night he returned to Chicago to play at the Riviera. He was ostensibly supporting his new album, The Avalanche, but it was a general concert without a specific album-theme, as most of his previous concerts have been.

A while ago, fabulouslies and I requested tickets for the Colbert Report with the intention that whatever date we got, I would fly in and visit her in NYC. I was sad when I got notification that I had tickets for August 14th, since she would be out of town that date, and even more sad when Aug 14 ended up being the day that Jon Stewart came on the show ( Read more... )
