Sun is out again this morning - but for how long?

Apparently, one has breakfast in one's room in this hotel because there is almost no room in the salon downstairs.

feel like I've settled in now - hardly seems like I was just in Geneva and in London not so long ago.

 Left Geneva 10 AM - uneventful flight to Paris (Swissair DC-9 enter thru tail ramp).

Well-dressed french/swiss (?) couple - she had sunglasses marked () - Yves St. Laurent (?) ~45 min flight to Paris.

 Sunny morning - still have flu but feel halfway decent so decided to go to CERN.

 Weather looks better outside - clear blue sky. Took shower - still have flu but feel refreshed.

Warm and sunny - took a short walk down to lake, sat and read paper, watched swans - very pleasant. More so if I didn't feel so cruddy. Think I'll just take it easy today to get well.

 - Last Morning in London

Cold and raining this morning - ridiculous! - the damn weather is worse now than it was when I arrived. Still feel like I have mild cold-flu - water isn't hot enough to gargle with!

 Nearly last day in London. Still feeling under the weather but little better. Took a long walk in the park and generally just relaxed. Cool today not too many people at this end of the park. Took picture of flock of little school children, all dressed alike, all madly jumping rope or bouncing balls. - like a flock of identical birds. Nuisance ( Read more... )

  Weather still coolish and cloudy - looks like rain but not. Feeling under the weather, throat a little sore + tired - feels like mild virus. Remember lot of coughing at last day of meeting. At least diarrhea hasn't really hit me badly - yet.

 Meeting is over! Finally, couldn't really take it any more. Heard F. Gilman at last session → data and theory have developed immensely in last 4 years but situation now is at best confused and at worst dismal. a lot of groping in the dark in lieu of any real theories.
