weapon of bangs destruction Yunho is not jealous.
No, he's not. That's not the reason why he broke his son's pencil in half with his bare hand the other day. Also, that is not the reason why gave his lover a curfew even if he's too old for curfews.
He's not jealous.
He's very jealous.
If this is how Jaejoong feels like everytime he's with Nana, he doesn't like it. It's a horrible kind of feeling that makes him unreasonably mad at everything. Even Minseok's slowly growing bangs. The first time Minseok saw his new haircut, he threw a hissy fit and ignored Yunho for two days straight. In those two days, he endured Jaejoong's teasing and insults which, much to his relief, weren't even offending.
He glares at the clock when it blinks 9:01 as if mocking him. He cracks his knuckles. It is exactly four minutes later when the front door bursts open and comes in a grinning Jaejoong, skipping his way towards him. "You're late." he hisses.
Jaejoong glances at the clock and shrugs. "For five minutes. Doesn't matter."
"It does matter. You're supposed to be here at nine pm sharp."
"Yunho, it should not matter. Why do I even have a curfew? What am I, six?" He refuses to respond, not wanting the other to find out how jealous he is that he's spending so much time with their new neighbor.
Jang Geunsuk.
How he hates that name. Just hearing his boyfriend gush about how they have so much things in common makes him want to choke him with his own balls. Which is disgusting. A little funny everytime visualizes it. But mostly disgusting because he's not even supposed to imagine what that guy's balls look like.
"Boo, going out is dangerous these days."
"I'm just literally next door! You could visit me there anytime you want."
He huffs, feeling himself getting irritated by the second. Jaejoong just doesn't understand that he's really jealous. Not that he would ever admit that, but he has been obvious and Jaejoong should have realized that by now.
He feels like he's going to explode any second and to avoid unnecessary argument, he just turns on his heels to walk away. As he expected, Jaejoong is fast to catch up with him, trailing behind him like a lost puppy. He would've found it adorable if he isn't so ticked off.
"You've been out the whole day. Minseok wanted to spend some time before he goes back to the orphanage tomorrow but you were too busy with your friend. If you want to make it up to him, he's in his room sleeping. Don't wake him up though." he rambles, slipping inside their room and shuts the door close.
Seems like he's going to be sleeping alone tonight.
If he's not able to tell Jaejoong how the level of his jealousy is beyond imaginable, he's just going to make himself feel better by guilt tripping Jaejoong in hopes that he would feel guilty for spending less time with their son. And him.
As he lies down their bed, he stares at the ceiling and sighs. Other than jealousy -- which really isn't the main issue -- there is fear. Jaejoong loves and adores him, he knows that, but there are times when he just couldn't help but be scared. He's far from perfect. He's not slim, he has scars on his face and he's a slob. Sometimes, he wonders why Jaejoong chose him instead of someone that's his exact opposite. People would most definitely be willing to be in his spot. No matter how many times Jaejoong tries to assure him, there would still be a little part of him that would ask why, how, really?
Even if Jaejoong tells him he loves him every single day, which he does, it's just not enough for him. No one has to tell him how horrible it is for him to think that way because he knows that.
He curses how Nature Boy (he calls him that because the man always has weird things on his hair, like a few days ago he was wearing a flower crown-- a fucking flower crown) is making him feel even more insecure than he already is.
He's calmed down a little the next day and groggily got out of bed to greet the man of his dreams and their soon a good morning. A frown immediately decorates his face when he finds Minseok's room empty. He checks the kitchen but they aren't there. They are not in the living room either. Running a hand through his hair, he fetches a hoodie from his room so he could check outside. Jaejoong might have felt lazy to cook so they went out to buy food.
As soon as he shuts the front door close, he almost threw his slippers at the sight before him. Almost. There they are, his family, coming back from the store. It was obvious that they have gone there because of the plastic bag Jaejoong's holding on one hand. He's holding Minseok's tiny hand on the other. And right beside Minseok, is Nature Boy, holding onto his other hand.
Not caring if he would look rude, he marches towards them and snatches Minseok, carrying him close to his chest and then marches back inside their house, making sure to slam the door real hard.
"What was that about?" questions Jaejoong as soon as he enters the house calmly, like a normal person. Yunho shrugs. "Don't give me that. Answer me."
"I don't know what you're talking about." he replies, pulling Minseok closer as the boy turns the TV on to watch his favorite cartoon.
Yunho's chest feels like it's about to burst. And he wants to cry, but he holds it in. Jaejoong would wonder why he's being emotional and he does not want to deal with a curious Jaejoong.
Jaejoong sits down beside him and rests his head on his shoulder. "Baby, please tell me."
"It's nothing, angel. Next time, if you want to buy breakfast, you could always wake me up and we'll go together."
"That's it, isn't it? Because I went out with Geunsuk."
"You know I don't like him." he mumbles.
"He's my friend."
"I don't like him being your friend."
That seems to piss Jaejoong off. "Well that's too bad because you don't have a say in this."
Yunho looks at him, hurt obvious in his eyes. Jaejoong didn't have to be offending. He was only speaking his mind, not asking him to stop being friends with Nature Boy.
Are his unpleasant thoughts turning into reality now? Is Jaejoong going to leave him for the other guy? He sure likes Nature Boy enough to say those insensitive words to him. And it hurts. It hurts too much.
Swatting Jaejoong's hand away from his arm, he gets up carrying Minseok. "I'm taking Minseok out then I'll drop him off at the orphanage. You don't have to come with us. We don't want to steal your time with your friend now, don't we?" Not even bothering to wait for a reply from Jaejoong, he heads to Minseok's room to give him a bath and dress him up.
Yunho pays Yoochun and Junsu an unannounced visit. As soon as he dropped Minseok off, he went straight to the couple's house, hoping that he wouldn't be interrupting something.
Thankfully, he isn't.
Junsu is alone because Yoochun had to run to the hospital for an emergency. The man is pretty happy to see him. He's been bored out of his wits and a company would be nice. Yunho doesn't want to dampen Junsu's good mood by ranting so he doesn't speak a word about their fight. He decides he's going to have to accompany Junsu until his husband comes home.
"Have you thought of adopting?" Yunho asks out of the blue which has Junsu thinking deeply.
"We talk it about sometimes. But..." Junsu smiles but it doesn't reach his eyes. "Well...I'm like this and he's just too busy for a kid."
Yunho doesn't comment about how he thinks there's nothing wrong with Junsu being like that and instead he says, "But you want to." It's a statement rather than a question. He could just tell how bad Junsu wants it.
He proves his suspicion to be right when Junsu nods. "It gets really lonely sometimes. Having a little one I could dote on and would keep me entertained would be really nice."
"Why don't you tell Yoochun that?"
Junsu looks at him funny. "You think I haven't? He thinks it would be too much for me to handle."
"Is it?"
"Yes... but I really don't mind. When I see you and Jj with Minseok, somehow, I feel envious. You seem so happy and I want to be happy too. I mean, I am happy with Chunnie it's just that... I feel incomplete. And useless."
Yunho frowns. "Useless?"
"Hmm. Yoochun has a job and he brings in the money while here I am unemployed. I want to work but he won't let me. Sometimes I feel like I'm just..."
"Mooching off him?" Yunho guesses. He could relate to Junsu because that was exactly what he felt before he got a job.
"At least, if we get a child, I won't be as useless anymore." He looks at the dreamy smile on Junsu's face. "Imagine, Yunho, when he gets home from a long and tiring day at work, our baby and I will be waiting for him with his home-cooked meal. I'm going to give him a foot massage while our baby would tell him stories about his day." Junsu looks at him, his smile not faltering. "I may not be of help financially, but I could give him a real family, Yunho. Only if he lets me."
He gets up, takes his and Junsu's mug and washes it in the sink. "That sounds lovely, Junsu. I really wish I could help you with that. You deserve all the happiness in the world."
"Am I interrupting something?"
Yunho dries his hand with a towel and turns around to see Yoochun leaning down to press a kiss on Junsu's lips. He smiles. "Junsu and I were having a tea party."
"And I'm not invited?" Yoochun replies, faking hurt.
He grins. "We don't want you seeing us doing the dirty." He childishly sticks out a tongue when Yoochun rolls his eyes at him. "I don't want to be a cockblock so I better go and binge eat now."
And binge eat, he does.
He's well aware that he is not allowed to eat too much but that's the least of his concerns at the moment. When stressed out, he eats and eats and eats. Screw Jaejoong, he thinks bitterly. If he's having fun with Nature Boy, then he's going to have all the fun in the world by himself... and his trusty food.
By the time he's done with his fifth serving of meatball spaghetti, he's already on a food coma. Groaning, he gets up and buys five orders of bacon mushroom melt and three slices of chocolate cake with two large fries and three sodas.
Now it's time to go home.
Of course Jaejoong is at home waiting for him. He should have expected that.
Or maybe he just came back from their neighbor's house. All negative thoughts are going through his mind and he could not stop it. And it just makes him feel even more horrible.
"What's that?" Jaejoong asks, hands on his hips. He lifts the bag of food in his hand and shrugs. "Yunho, have you been eating?"
He scoffs, walking past his annoyed lover to lie down the couch and maybe a nap. "Oh so I'm not allowed to eat now?"
"That's not what I-- damn it Yunho. Talk to me!"
Okay so maybe he's not getting that power nap anytime soon.
He sits back up and sighs. "What?"
"We need to talk."
"There's nothing to talk about, Jaejoong. I've been out, I'm tired. I just want to take a nap."
"No."
"Excuse me?"
Jaejoong walks up to him and runs a hand through his hair. "I could tell you just ate. You can't go to sleep with your stomach full or you'll get nightmares." He doesn't complain when his boyfriend straddles his hips and cups his cheeks. "Yunnie, my baby boy, I'm so sorry about earlier. I was a little snappy. But know that I love you and only you. Nothing and no one can change that."
He wants to respond, but has no idea what to say. While Jaejoong is once again declaring his love and giving him assurance, he stares, looks deep into his eyes. Mushy as it may sound, he can see the love shining in his brown orbs.
Just then, it clicks in his head.
What the fuck has he been thinking?
It's time to let it go. To let the fear and insecurities go. It would take time, but hey, slowly but surely. Gotta flush those bad vibes out of his system.
Sure there would still be moments, but he's going to learn how to bury those negative thoughts.
When Jaejoong says he loves no one else but him, he means it. Jaejoong isn't one to say something he doesn't mean. If he doesn't like you, he'll say it straight to your face. If he likes you, he'll say it straight to your face and prove it through his actions.
Jung Yunho, you are an idiot.
"Oh Yunho?"
"Hmm?" Yunho smiles, holding the man on his lap a little tighter. It's been a few hours since they've talked it out. Jaejoong was not happy about him and his issues but he's promised to help him. Yunho refused, saying the only one who can help him is himself. Jaejoong understood and promised support instead.
They made love.
"Geunsuk's having an orgy at his house and I'm invited."
"A what?!"
"An orgy. What do you think I should wear?"
"Wear... orgy... wha-- Jaejoong!" His outburst startles Jaejoong who almost falls off his lap. It goes unnoticed.
"You're crying!"
And he's crying hard. "Y-you can't do this to me!" He shouts, struggling from Jaejoong's hold. The latter has enveloped him in a tight hug. "You said you love me... made love t-to me... a-and... and said all those thi... things about supporting me... and now you're saying you're going to p-par-participate in an or... org... orgy! I hate you!"
"What are you talking about?"
"It's just an orgy."
"Just an orgy?" Yunho scoff-hiccups. "Step out of this house and we're over."
"You cannot be serious."
"I'm dead serious." He shoves Jaejoong away and finds comfort in his bag of food. He munches on his bacon mushroom melt, elbowing Jaejoong in the gut when he tries to snatch the food out of this hands. "Go away, cheater!"
"Cheater?!"
Yunho looks up from his food, tears still streaming down his face. "I feel so used. You used me to satisfy your sexual needs. And now that I've done my job, you're going to run off to your fucking Nature Boy."
"Nature boy? Wha-- Yunho, I don't understand. I am genuinely confused. Mind telling me what the problem with going to a party is?"
Yunho frowns as he takes a sip of his soda. "Party?"
"Yes, party. Orgy means party. Well at least that's what Geunsuk told me."
"A different kind of party, Jaejoong. If you're that innocent, google it. Just so you know, out of the house is synonymous to out of my life. The fate of our relationship is now up to you."
Of course, Jaejoong did not disappoint him.
While waiting for Yunho outside their house for breakfast, six to seven guys came out of Geunsuk's house. One of them spots him and whistles. He feels his heart pounding when they walk to his direction. He crosses his fingers and prays that Yunho would come out soon and save him. "You're the pretty neighbor Geunsuk couldn't stop talking about." A tall one with a slightly creepy face tells him.
He frowns.
A blond man steps forward, eyeing him from head to toe. "I'm not even wondering why he wants to get in your pants."
"Excuse me?!"
"I guess tricking you into thinking he's having a party didn't work. What a shame. Oh well, next time then. We'll be waiting." A wink.
He could only feel his blood boil in anger as he watches their retreating backs. Only when the front door opens does he snap out of his train of thoughts. Seeing Yunho's face makes him sigh in relief and tear up. "Baby?"
He jumps into Yunho's arms in response, burying his face on his lover's neck as he cries his heart out, whispering I'm sorry's over and over like a broken record.
Yunho could only wonder what has happened. And he's going to make sure he finds out soon.
