Yabu looked around the auditorium from behind the curtain. He smiled. Everything was perfect. All the student council members are at their post, and all the students are co-operating nicely. After being signalled by Shoon, Yabu went on stage, and the opening ceremony started. The opening ceremony lasted for an hour before the students, new and old were dismissed to enjoy the buffet. It was, after all, the start of a new semester.

After dismissing himself from other new students, Ryutaro went to the buffet table in hopes of finding Yuto. He knew that Yuto was working as a chef apprentice there, so he hoped that Yuto might be nearby the buffet table. But, he's not. Because Ryutaro was too busy searching for Yuto, he didn't watch where he was going.

"Itai," Ryutaro heard someone cried out, when he accidentally bumped into someone. The other guy had fell on his butt, on the ground.

"I'm sorry," Ryutaro apologized, helping the boy up. "I was not looking where I was going."

"That was for sure," the guy said. He was no taller than Ryutaro, in fact, probably shorter. After straightening his shirt, he looked at Ryutaro with a smile. "Anyway, I'm Cinen Yuri," he said.

Ryutaro looked at Chinen with a raised eyebrow. 'Strange personality,' he thought. "Morimoto Ryutaro," he said, introducing himself. They shook hands.

"So, you're a new student, ne?" Chinen said. "What course are you taking?"

"Eh? Uhm, clarinet," answered Ryutaro. He eyed Chinen. 'This guy can't be any older than me, can he?'

As of reading Ryutaro's mind, Chinen said, "I'm a degree student this year, but I've been at this academy since high school."

Ryutaro just nodded his head, "I see."

Chinen dragged Ryutaro to the buffet table, "Let's eat, before the orientation for new students start."

"B-But I w-..."

"Iie, eat first!" Chinen said, leaving Ryutaro no room for argument.

-----------------------------------------

After Johnny-san, principal and founder of the academy, had ended his speech, and Yabu had dismissed the students for the feast, Daiki immediately went to the kitchen to look for Yuto. It had been like this for lately. Over the months, after they went to the orphanage, Daiki and Yuto had become very close. If it wasn't Daiki, then it would be Yuto searching for the former.

In the kitchen, Daiki saw Yuto helping out the head chef, Kano-san. Kano-san is a sweet, elderly man, probably in his early fifties. "Dai-chan," Yuto exclaimed, when he saw his childhood friend.

"Yu-chan," Daiki said with a smile. He nodded at the bowl filled with hot soup Yuto was carrying and said, "Since you're busy, I'll just meet up with you later."

"Nah, it's okay, Arioka-kun," Kano-san said before Yuto could answer. "Yuto is just about done, aren't you, son?"

Yuto flashed a smile at the man, and nodded, "Yeah. I'll be done in just a minute." After handing the bowl to some helpers, Yuto took off his apron, hung it, and walked towards Daiki. "What's up?"

"Nothing," Daiki replied. "Just wondering if you wanted to catch lunch together." He looked at his clock. "Since it's 12 in the afternoon, and the orientation won't be till 1."

"Sure," Yuto said. "Kano-san won't be expecting me till then to clean up."

-------------------------------------------

"So, Ryutaro-kun, what made you join this academy?" Chinen asked while stuffing himself with some sweet breads.

Ryutaro looked at Chinen with a raised eyebrow. 'I didn't remember giving him permission to call me that.' "Well, I was the clarinet player in my school's brass band, and I love music."

Chinen nodded his head, a spoon in his mouth. "Hmmm~," he said. Then, his eyes spotted two people. He waved his hand at them. "Yama-chan, Yuuyan," he callled out happily. Ryutaro turned to the direction Chinen's waving at, and his eyes turned wide when he saw them. 'Wait, I shouldn't be surprised. They are students here, my seniors in fact."

"Yo Chinen!" Takaki said at his younger kouhai. Yamada, who was standing next to Takaki, just acknowledge him with a nod.

"Meet Morimoto Ryutaro, a new student, clarinet division," he introduced the other teen.

When Takaki saw him, he paused for a while before saying, "Ah~ We've met before, haven't we?"

Ryutaro nodded his head. "Yeah, at the ramen restaurant my family run." Then, Ryutaro and Yamada shared a look, rather a glare, for awhile. "Where's Yuto?" Ryutaro finally voiced out.

Yamada shrugged off the question. "How should I know? It's not like Yuto's my boyfriend."

Takaki sighed. "Both of you should act more civilized." Both of teens shot Takaki a look. "It wasn't me who started it." Then, before Ryutaro could retort, Yamada stood on his toes and crashed his lips to Takaki's. A few seconds passed before he pulled away. Takaki let out a 'Whoa', while Yamada looked at Ryutaro, hard. "Get the picture now, kid?" he asked coolly. "Yuto is just my best friend, so get over it." Yamada left before neither one of them could say anything. The air was tension for awhile.

Couldn't stand the atmosphere, Chinen goofily asked, "So... Who wants ice cream?"

-------------------------------------------------

Daiki and Yuto were sitting on a bench, in the garden. They had a change of plan, and instead of having lunch indoor, they were having one outdoor. Yuto had packed them some sandwiches.

"Ne, Yu-chan," Daiki said as they were eating.

"Hn?"

"Do you like someone?" Daiki blushed, he didn't dare look at Yuto.

"Maa~ Probably," Yuto said, smiling.

"O-Oh," Daiki said.

"But...I do know that I love someone."

Daiki's eyes widened, he felt his heart breaing. Then, Yuto cupped Daiki's face with his hands, looking at each other face-to-face. "W-What are you doing?"

"I love you."

Daiki chuckled, smacking Yuto's hands away. "Stop joking around."

"I'm not," Yuto replied. Daiki looked at Yuto again, and he could see the seriousness in Yuto's eyes. "I really do love you. After our visit to the orphanage, and when we started spending more times together, I couldn't help my feeling."

Daiki smiled. "I feel the same way."

Suddenly, the air turned awkward. "So... What now?"

Daiki slipped his hand in Yuto's. "Let's go before the community comes searching." Yuto nodded in agreement, and they left for the auditorium.
