Emerald City Comic Con
Every year Seattle has a comic book convention in the Spring. Last year I went for the first time with my fellow TMNT fan-friend, Andrew Modeen. Wonderful weather
Today and the entire weekend, Seattle's had some surprizingly really NICE weather! It's been sunny and warm and today especially it was 70 degrees! Taxes....*grrr*....and other
I just want to say that I really hate taxes! It always seems like everyone I know gets a refund, and I never do. I just got done filing mine and as usual, I always owe money. I know it isn't THAT much, but still I feel like, "Oh sure, kick a guy when they're already down!" Not to mention that unemployment benefits is taxable too, which I didn't ( Read more... ) -
Job fairs suck!
I went to a big one today in downtown Seattle, the biggest and most crowded one I've ever been to. My thought: absolute waste of time! I go in there and ask about jobs at the booths and many of the recruiters' response was, "Our jobs are listed on our website and that's where you apply for them." OK. Last week I went home to visit my family and friend Kristy back home in Indiana. When I flew in to Indy, my mom had previously warned me about the new airport that recently opened up in Nov. Christmas season not so joyous for me
I was really looking forward to the holiday season. In a way I've not completely lost interest but, I've been rather distracted by a recent and serious event. Yay Obama!
I'm a few days late on this, but I wanted to say that I'm so stoked about Barack Obama's election as president! I voted via absentee ballot the week before, avoiding the lines. However I accompanied my boyfriend, Ben, to the poles, as he also voted Obama. It was a much anticipated day and to celebrate, we visited his older sister and her family ( Read more... ) -
