Post-Christmas wrapup.
Had a lazy morning, having opened the larger presents my parents left the previous evening over Skype.

Review: Vegetarian Dim Sum at Hon's
Today we had lunch at Hon's, an omnivorous Chinese restaurant with a nice vegetarian selection just a few blocks from our apartment. We were there for dinner a couple of weeks ago, and I was very excited to note that they had a dim sum menu. This is a post about tamarind.
Tonight I made Vietnamese Hot and Sour Soup in order that I could finally use my jar of tamarind paste, and it was very tasty. I made a lot of substitutions and used about half as much tamarind as they called for, but it worked. The pineapple was a win. Well, everything is now out of our house and scattered around our temporary residence in boxes to be sorted through. Just have some cleaning to do, and then we will farewell The Universe at the End of the Restaurants.

Wow, whenever I thought about this move I was all excited and positive. Now, after a day of moving things into our temporary place of residence, I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. How did we acquire so much stuff? Where are we going to put it all while we're in Canada? Khan!
