Yummy, ouch...
Eric and I baked a (mostly) homemade cherry pie last night. We pitted about six cups of cherries, made the filling, and added it to a frozen pie crust that we decorated in a fancy lattice-formation and drenched with turbinado sugar. My Cat II: Conclusion
I spoke with my neighbor about the cat, mentioned that I had started feeding her and that I would be happy to find a good home for her. I'm a bachelor!
Just a quick post to note the occasion... today I officially graduated with a B.A. in Art History from Mansfield University! I invited some friends over and had a fun barbecue (with way too much food!) to mark the occasion, along with graduation balloons and graduation-inspired party favors. An event vent
A situation came up today that I was totally unprepared for. By that I mean that I had an opinion on an issue and expected other people would probably share my opinion. In fact, it never occurred to me that anyone would have seriously different ideas about this subject. And then, it turned out no one agreed with me much at all.

Work Update and French
Well, I started my new (new) job this past week, and so far things seem to be going pretty well. The process seems to be more organized and more supervised, if that makes any sense... Living in a Construction Zone
Eric and I share an apartment that's basically an addition to the house downstairs. We have a separate entrance, our own mailbox, trashcans, that sort of thing, and in general it's a great situation. Banana Bread
I just tried making banana bread... my first time ever, I think. I found a recipe online that used maple syrup instead of sugar, which sounded fantastic to me (not that I have anything against sugar, but I've eaten enough banana pancakes with maple syrup to know that the two are quite complementary ( Read more... ) -

I have a new job! This is a position as Webmaster for the JPAC POW/MIA Accounting Command. The mission of the command is really fantastic.
