Finished Anna Karenina yesterday. Levin's final religious epiphany rubbed me the wrong way; if this book had a sequel--I'm really glad there isn't one, but for argument's sake--I think he'd end up backsliding and be just as indecisive and miserable as he ever was.

First thought was, of course: Holy shit, my house is shaking! WHY is my house shaking?
Then it stopped, and I thought: Earthquake?

Been doing a lot of reading lately. Maybe that's where it comes from. Anna Karenina, Hush, The Man Who Was Thursday, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I'm still reading Anna, but I've also just started in on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Practical question for yogis. I suspect I know the answer, but verification would be appreciated.
In the instance of a person having a long torso and short arms, should the person still try to put their hands flat to the floor when seated. I've tried to do this, taking special care to drop my shoulders and so on, but I always feel hunched over. When ( Read more... ) -

I usually would've gone to see a movie or something over the weekend, and I really do want to see The Lorax, but I'm abstaining from spending money on movies, music, books, and other similar media for the month of March (see: Black March).
