Raven was fully prepared to hit the ball in his regular clothes. Terra, on the other hand, would have none of it and gently pushed him in the direction of the formalwear store. He had come out in the exact same outfit with a tie.

That didn't fly.

So he came out with a bowtie.

That didn't fly either.

Then he came out with a new shirt, but the same jacket.

That didn't fly and then she told him to get a new outfit altogether.

He tried a fourth time and managed to follow instructions, coming out in a yukata. And so that's what Terra got - the most fashion-conscious man in all of Memento Eden.

While Raven had attempted to find a suitable outfit, Terra had also looked at the beautiful yukatas, and had decided on a red one with a flower pattern. She was quite pleased with it and her date, as her soft smile attested to.

"Thank you for finally picking out a new outfit, Raven."

"Yeeeah, well, I knew I wasn't gonna hear th' end of it if I didn't, so yer welcome."

His smirk showed that, as he behaved 98% of the time, he was still screwing around and nothing he ever said could be taken seriously.

"If you had just listened to me the first time..." She sighed softly, but didn't stop smiling. She was getting better at picking up on Raven's joking attitude, albeit slowly.

"You look very nice."

Edgeworth was, naturally, incredibly punctual. He was, also naturally, quite well-dressed, his usual pink red magenta? suit exchanged for a black one with a white vest. Even his cravat somehow seemed even fancier than usual.

And, naturally once more, Edgeworth wasn't really enjoying himself. He idly examined one of the food tables, even though he wasn't really hungry. It was, after all, something to do.

Albedo wasn't particularly hungry himself, he never seemed to be, but he still enjoyed the taste of certain foods and he especially enjoyed bothering people, so it was only natural that he would approach the overly formal looking man by the food table, his cape fluttering slightly as he moved.

"You don't seem to be enjoying yourself very much."

Edgeworth instinctively inched away from Albedo slightly. "I don't think I'm much of one for social events."

Albedo smirked slightly in amusement at the slight movement away from him. "And yet the prospect of returned memories attracts even those who would prefer to be elsewhere."

After taking a moment to truly contemplate whether or not she wanted to go to the ball, Jeanne decided that nothing bad would come of it. Socializing sounded more like a good idea than anything else, and so she found herself taking in the sights and sounds of the transformed park. As out of place she must've seemed, complete with her typical dress of frills and lace, her movements didn't seem awkward at all.

Entranced by the foreign surroundings, she immediately found herself enjoying it all. She was already having a good time so early on, and surely it would only improve as the night continued.

"Jeanne. I'm glad you could join us."

Waving from a distance as he approached, chaos wore more traditional garb for the festival. While he was about to find a dish, he instead decided to go say hello. After all, a feast was nice, but socializing was always nice.

Turning to the voice, Jeanne waved in response as her smile grew.

"I'm glad that I decided to come. Everything looks so impressive. From the decorations, the food, and just about everything else," she gestured to the lights and the tables that were set.

"They certainly went all out with this," he responded in agreement. "The food is different from the usual fare, but then this ball itself doesn't appear to be the usual fare."

Lenalee stood along the edge of the dance floor in a summery dress, watching the gathering with a small smile on her face. She remembered last year's Tanabata, memories that brought tears to her eyes for just a moment. Reminiscing would have to wait for another day; for now, she wanted to see who she knew at this event.

Klarth was still searching for his date. She'd sent him a picture, of course, though his mind seemed to have already painted it over with other women he was more familiar with. She was blonde. Hyper. Called herself Misa-Misa. Those three clues ought to have been enough.

In the middle of his searching, he caught sight of a familiar figure standing alone, seeming a bit . . . melancholy. "Ah. Miss Lenalee." Since their first contact, he had visited her restaurant three or four times, whenever he felt a particular need to blow all his money at once. The food was extraordinary. "Good to see you out and about. Enjoying yourself?"

"Hello, Klarth." Lenalee smiled, bowing just a little. "I only just got here, but it already looks like a lot of fun. Have you been here long?"

"A little while now. Searching for my date, actually." He tugged awkwardly at the front of his yukata, letting out a nervous laugh. "You should go and try some of the food -- Your restaurant is quite good and all, but free food should never be turned down, right?"

Ninian couldn't help but stare openly when she arrived. Though the park was nice enough in its normal state, it had transformed into a very lovely "ballroom" for tonight. She was impressed.

Her gaze finally landed on the dance floor and, for some inexplicable reason, she felt a very strong urge to dance. But she had not thought to find someone to accompany her, and she didn't feel comfortable asking any old stranger for a dance, so she pushed the thought from her mind. Instead, she wandered toward the bamboo plants, eyeing the tags curiously. The only wish she could think of was to get her memories back and go home, wherever that was, but it seemed like a silly thing to hope for.

Eliwood had just arrived, wearing his dress uniform. He looked around briefly for anyone he knew, and quickly spotted Ninian. He walked over to say hello.

"Good evening," Eliwood said when he was within earshot. "Thinking of making a wish, are you?"

A shy smile crept across Ninian's face as Eliwood approached. "Hello..." She was genuinely happy to see him -- it was nice to see a familiar face.

In response to his query, she simply shrugged. "I would, but... I don't think a wish to have my memories back would be granted."

Eliwood recalled last year's Tanabata. "Probably not," he agreed. "Though, if you don't make the wish, you would never find out. Unless you can think of something better to wish for, it can't hurt." As he spoke, Eliwood grabbed a pair of tags and a pen, and began to write his own wishes.
