The books I read in 2010.
Chronic City by Jonathan Lethem was my favourite. I was intoxicated with it the whole way through.
Tall Man: The Death of Doomadgee by Chloe Hooper is excellent non-fiction about the death in custody of a young Indigenous man on Palm Island (Queensland) and the police culture protecting its own in the wake of it. ( Read more... ) -

Can anyone tell me what those things are called where you cross sticks and wind yarn around them to make a pattern - diamond shape, but colours are usually used to make it look like an eye.
