I was walking through my building at UMass one morning about two weeks ago, and I saw a couple of things that struck me as funny. I took photos. Another dream: Started with a banquet for children in a very cluttered dining hall. Steve Platt (historian) was handing out stickers to the kids there. UMass students do not understand how to ride the bus
I have to take a campus bus from my far-away parking lot down to the middle of campus. The bus not only makes the rounds of the parking lots, but also the dormitories. It does get crowded now and then... but I just don't understand why these students will not sit down in the damn seats ( Read more... ) -

The stock photos of Rosetta Stone: Mandarin
So, as a present (ha!) this Hanukkah, I received Rosetta Stone's Mandarin course. Don't judge--it's cheaper than a brick-and-mortar course, and a lot more fun. I was curious to find out whether it was any good... and it actually seems pretty good.
