today i went to an artist residency/grad school fair. it was incredibly inspiring listening to the talks from skowhegan and penland. either one of those would be an amazing opportunity. with skowhegan, you're like totally in the middle of nowhere maine and you're not allowed to leave the community or have guests for 9 weeks over the summer. intense ( Read more... )

last week i had my first palooza thrown for me. marikapalooza. it'll be hard to top it. especially when there was spongebob squarepants themed cake and animal shaped plasticware. it sure is nice feeling appreciated. its nice when people recognize how hard you've been working with cake and ice cream. its also nice to feel part of a team. oh ( Read more... )
