This has been a pretty busy week for me. Thursday morning, my little sister graduated from training and officially became a Military Police Soldier in the US Army. Sam Brownback, you're amazing

Apparently it's now okay to block a federal judge nomination because you don't like/approve of her friends. This has absolutely nothing to do with her education, judicial experience, or anything else. If Brownback is elected president, I'll be the first one in line to move to Canada.

I got a job offer over the phone today, for a programming position at Boeing. I don't have all the details yet, but they should be coming in the mail tommorrow. Now I can finally breathe a big sigh of relief, and start planning a "I'm no longer unemployed party"! Details to follow...

edit: Actually I just got 2 offers from Boeing. Go figure.

Friday night I had this terrible dream that I didn't actually graduate from Caltech. It turns out that I haven't taken Phys 12 or Intermediate Japanese. There are very few foods out there that are as yummy and satisfying as fresh home-made bread. Except perhaps for some really dark bittersweet chocolate. Mmmmmmm.

A bunch of the Tech crew came up for PAX last month. It was awesome! Even though I don't really care to go with them, it's still a great opportunity to get everyone together again. Hopefully it will continue to be a yearly event. I think the girls should come to Seattle that weekend too, and we can do something less nerdy together ( Read more... )
