I feel completely estranged from every human being in the world right now. Even my children. Which convinces even me that it is my fault. Another currriculum post
School plans have changed a bit for next year. The girls will be at Brighton for four hours, two days a week, next fall. That changes the dynamics of our school week dramatically. If I continue to work the hours I do now, it will mean we effectively have three days a week for schoolwork other than the Brighton classes. If I quit my job, which is ( Read more... ) -
Shows and snows
This is show week for Beauty and the Beast. We got through the torture that is tech rehearsal and two dress rehearsals (five hours each). Then it snowed today. That sounds so innocuous. But honestly, I WORK SO HARD on this stuff and spend so many hours planning it, tweaking it, ruminating on it, researching it...that it feels unfair not to share it. So I'm losing my little charge to a live in nanny by the New Year and it is breaking my heart and causing a major "what the heck do I do now" crises for me. I watched her full time for a year and am attached as all get out and love her to death and was really hoping she'd stay until preschool and on top of that MONEY. Panic. So, choices. I feel like I haven't updated here in a long time. It is odd how the people I friended in the beginning of keeping an LJ blog are now mostly somewhere else online. A few of my later additions still post here regularly and I read them regularly, but it is a quiet place for me most of the time. This has been a weird week and I'm really tired. Spent hours yesterday working in my bedroom with my mom helping me. I never unpacked my own bedroom. We've lived here for nine months now, and I never unpacked my own room. I mean, it was unpacked enough to live in, but I never unpacked boxes of books or pictures or hung anything up.
