I pruned the cedar trees around the front porch.
Now I have a blister on my finger.
I need bigger pruners, and a lopper might be good, too.
A lot of the cherry tree is dead. It should be taken down, but I don't want to try that, even with the proper tools. Cutting off a lot of the dead bits would be within my scope, with the proper tools. -
That sweater...again...
I attached the sleeves to the body, and have started working up toward the shoulders. I tried it on the other night when Lizzie Bennet came over, and it looks like it will be flattering when it's done. As opposed the the last time it was done. -

The Friends of the Seattle Public Library Book Sale is coming up this weekend! And I should be able to go! *does a "happy dance"*

I just finished reading "A Bird in the Tree" by Elizabeth Goudge. I love her books, and I like how I feel while I'm reading them. I feel peaceful. It's not that there isn't conflict in her books. The characters grow, and have to battle with themselves. It's that there is an underlying order--a sense of right and wrong, and that even though ( Read more... ) -

Sean was away this weekend, so I pretty much had the house to myself, and I didn't have a car available. On Saturday I walked to "downtown" Ballard, and got my hair trimmed, and wandered down Ballard Ave. I'd never been down that way before! Twefth Night
I had a little party last night. Takolaura and her husband, Lizziebennet, and everyone's favorite aunt came. I had invited other people, but they didn't show up. We had fun anyway.
