I spend more time regretting the things I didn't do than taking care of the stuff that needs to get done now. My poor habits may be beyond remolding this late in the game.

Sometimes there appears to be little depth to my feelings, like making tiny scratches on a wheel of wax. If the gouges go too deep the whole wheel may crack, that must be the reasoning.
