I’ve struggled with how to articulate this story since it all started to come about. I have had a hard time finding the words to discuss the way my body betrayed me, the emotional toll of having surgery, the financial stress of having to pay a high insurance deductible while going on unpaid FMLA, and the feeling of being a burden on those I love ( Read more... ) -
Recent accomplishments.
1. Passed my CLEP exam with a score of 69. I only needed a 50, so I definitely out performed what was necessary. I ended up taking the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature exam, which I think boils down to nothing more than reading comprehension and didn't we all learn that in 1st grade? It suddenly occured to me that I'm graduating college.
When I first graduated high school (a mere) 13 years ago I never imagined it would take me this long to finish college. Then again, nothing I imagined about life when I was 17 turned out the way I expected (thank the gods). I started community college right away and really enjoyed it. Why I deserved two, count them, TWO pairs of Christian Louboutin's today.
First of all, I need to have surgery. Last year it was discovered I have a fibroid in my uterus and it has grown substantially since then. My fibroid baby is about 5 to 6 months along and is causing me all sorts of problems and discomfort. As of Friday, I will finally have HD TV.
I mean, I have a HD TV but I never switched out my cable DVR box so all this time I've been watching normal TV on my beautiful LCD flat panel. I am the queen of procrastination. Decisions, decisions...
I have to start studying and preparing to take a CLEP exam later this summer if I plan on walking in the November commencement ceremony at school. I just can't decide which test to take.
