I forgot to mention that the kitchen cabinets came off the production line this week and I am now waiting to be advised of their arrival time in Hobart. Nick is now talking as though he wants to start on the installation prior to Xmas. Today the fence was completed. When I came home from shopping yesterday I commented to Les that it was going to be too high, judging from the height of the fence posts. Les arrived home safely on Monday evening to a joyous reunion, and the house has been littered with the debris of unpacking all week. He was lucky to have returned when he did, as spending days in an airport beset by rioters would not be a happy experience. Les has asked that Nick should continue work on recladding the shed and repairing it, so he will be buying more materials today (Saturday). It should be well under way before Les returns. On Thursday it reached 31C which is pretty hot for Hobart. As a result I felt less than well on Friday, but when Nick offered to take me to the supermarket I accepted gratefully. I haven't posted for more than 2 weeks. I find with Les away that I have less time, as I'm expected to send 2 emails a day, sometimes 3, and keep him informed of bank balances, etc., as well as chasing up tradespeople. We went to Harvey Norman yesterday and purchased a pyrolitic oven and ceramic cooktop, which will be delivered with the rangehood. They also are giving us a credit on the gas stove, and it will be removed when the other items are delivered.
