My first evening in Melbourne was spent with much conversation, good food (Lindy is a great cook), champagne and laughter. The following morning Lindy took me to a Rivers Clearance Centre at Mordialloc, having shown me a pair of shoes she bought for herself for $35.00.

I just had the opportunity to take part in an online questionnaire rating the performance of the airline, which I did with great pleasure, especially as it gave me the opportunity to comment on their performance with regard to my trip home on Tuesday.

This morning we got up early, had a cup of tea, and then our morning coffee ritual, and I gave Les the gifts I had bought him in Melbourne. I forgot to say that we are still waiting for the plumber's bill. I think he needs an office manager, as it would have been reasonable to ask for a deposit on the work to be done, since it was nearly $6,000 worth. We have had a sudden cold snap, which left highways and roads closed because of dangerous conditions. Our former home would have had snow for sure, since the road there was closed. We had a young man working here all day and now the cleaning up is completed, although there are still a couple of adjustments to be made with the actual plumbing work. I have been referring to Botanica's 'Roses' for more information on the roses I have waiting to be planted. It was exciting, as I realised that they are mostly species that have only recently been released here, and I can't wait to see how they will perform and what their blooms will be like.They certainly look absolutely gorgeous in the book.
