I am beyond pleased with the presidential election. Considering how freakin' red Montana usually is, it's amazing that McCain's margin of victory here was so slim. Overall a great showing for Dems in all races here ( Read more... )

My chest doesn't hurt as much as it did yesterday but it still doesn't feel normal. I will try to get in to see the doc tomorrow.

I'm really tired of getting sick and missing work. I probably could have drug my ass in to the office today, but I just felt awful- achy and sore all over and my chest hurts *so bad*. I realize that by the standards of the rest of the nation this is not a large snapping turtle, but the only type of turtle I've ever seen here is a cute little painted turtle so compared to that it was monstrous. It's shell was bigger around than the hubcap of my car. Crappy phonecam doesn't show much detail.

in Western Montana- a whopping huge snapping turtle basking on the road. I've never seen one before. I took a few pictures with my phone and will upload them later.

Also spotted: two white pelicans. Migrating a little early I guess.

It's cool to live near a wildlife refuge.
