Granite Island continued.......
Some more pictures of Granite Island which is a small Island off Victor Harbor, we walked across the bridge to the Island, checked out the Fairy penguins, and then there is 1 1/2 ks of walking tracks around the island:

Just a few more pics.....trying to catch up
After doing the wineries at at Langhorn Creek, we headed to Victor Harbor with the intentions of spending a few days there. Dave & I very rarely book ahead, preferring to just stop whereever we can, so that when we got there it was to find out that a)there was a triathlon on in Victor Harbor over the weekend b) there was a footy match on during ( Read more... ) -

And so the journey continues
While we were at Wellington we visited Old Tailem Town which is a village that has been put together of over 100 buildings - most of them originals that have been moved there, but there are some replicas as well. Unfortunately for you guys, we took 100's of photos......but I'll only hit you with a couple at a time:

Day Day 51 of the IFOST
After our night at The Granites, we headed through Meningie - cattle & sheep properties mainly, and out to a National Park stay called Long Point. Long Point is in the Coorong National Park, and they charge $12.00 per night to camp there. Again, we had our site to ourselves, though the wind could have blown a dog of it's chain as they say....

Day 50 of the IFOST
Free camp wins over very ordinary little town!
So, after the excitement of Kingston, we decided not to actually spend the money to stay in their campground, but moved on to a bush camp beside the ocean called The Granites. There is no comparison between this campsite & our camping buddy, and the town of Kingston :)

Day 48 of the IFOST (continued)
After Robe we headed to Kingston, another "historic" town, but we were a little disappointed. I try to find something good in every place we go to.....but after hitting the Information place and were told by a fairly excited young woman that there were "lots to see at Kingston" including Larry the Lobster & the Tractor Museum....we weren't so sure ( Read more... ) -

After the Great Ocean Road we ended up in a beautiful little town that was settled in the early 1800's. Luckily for us tourists, there are a lot of old houses & buildings still standing, and a lot of them have been restored to their former glory. As some of you will already know, I love these old towns, but often feel disappointed that they don't ( Read more... ) -
