I just got another call from someone at REI saying they'd like to interview me. I told him that I had in fact already interviewed with someone else, who said he wanted to hire me, and then got a call a week later from someone else saying they'd changed their minds - he said he would look into it and get back to me. Can we say, "management issues

Got a message today from REI saying they've changed their minds and don't want to hire me. Reason given: they decided to do a smaller round of hiring. Do I have an "incompetent" sign taped on my back? It went pretty well - it didn't feel very substantive, though. And, they might not get back to me for a few weeks. I only spent much time talking when he asked me what my ideal job situation is.
