Finally some more building activity has occurred. This morning a guy turned up for a quick inspection as he will be doing the last of the metalwork tomorrow for the verandahs. Trudi has a bit of a cold and is feeling blah, so it was time for a quite night on the couch. I picked up a chicken on the way home and we had a very simple meal and then it was time for Mythbusters. I needed new lenses for my glasses, so I decided to try a new shop that has opened up near work. Normally I wouldn't bother as South Yarra is not exactly a cheap location. I've had the Commodore converted to LP gas. I was lucky in that I booked it in before the Government rebate (pork barrel exercise) was announced. The wait went from two month to nine months within days. I paid $2620 for the conversion and will get $2000 back from the government so the pay back time has gone from around 18 months to less than six ( Read more... )

We've had a week away, staying in a cottage at Johanna Beach (off the Great Ocean Road). Building and job stress was mounting up so Trudi decided a short, lazy holiday was in order.
