I started playing Final Fantasy VI again, and on a whim I started naming the characters after Joss Whedon characters. Then I realized that by naming them on an ad hoc basis I was getting the mapping all wrong, so I started over and decided to come up with the names in advance. Today I was described as a conservative political party, which was rather amusing.

Apparently we have moose in Boulder County. I had no idea!

When did Blockbuster Online raise their rates? Once upon a time, they were actually making an attempt to compete with Netflix. I was pondering changing my plan today, until I discovered that the going rate for their premium plan -- which I'm still paying $17.99 for -- is now $34.99. Yikes!

This YouTube video about clock evolution has been up for a while now, but I just learned about it, and I think it's pretty awesome.

Just saw the news that Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been delayed another month. Argh!

Went to the Front Range Pythoneers meetup after work today. There was supposed to be a talk on TurboGears 2, as a followup to the sprint last weekend, but the person who was to give it couldn't make it, so we just had a lot of ad hoc discussion. I finally tried out Yahoo! Pipes for the first time today, and it seems pretty useful. I want to keep an eye on the Django changeset timeline, but I'm actually only interested in changes to one particular file, rather than the full deluge of checkins, so I needed to filter out all the items that didn't include changes to that file.
