haven't had a ton of free time, work schedule is ramping up a bit (averaging $100 a day for 5 days a week, which is good for my nyc savings plan, tho twice that would be much, much nicer), and my free time has been consumed by games of babble and various forms of exercise including my new rock climbing obsession ( Read more... ) -
quickie
worked 9 shifts in the past 5 days, so not a lot of time online. another one tonight, too, so i'm still catching up on sleep, doing laundry, cleaning, etc.
still, had to share my morning's discovery: found a copy of "going rogue" on my parents' side table. they never cease to find new ways to disappoint me. ugh. -

he says "thank you," as if what i just did was some expression of goodwill, of affection and generosity between friends, as if he didn't just hold my hand there after i said no, i wanted to go. and this is the one i liked, that i trusted, the one i went to when the others overstepped their bounds and i felt violated. is it just here, are there ( Read more... ) -
weekend shorts
had a couple customers yesterday who drank almost our entire bottle of macallan 12. if their $125 bill wasn't nice enough (it was a slow day on the terrace), he also managed to tip me $75. those sort of customers ought to happen more often ( Read more... ) -

i can't yet decide if this is awesome or foul, but i decided i needed to save this recipe for later just in case the urge ever strikes me in my future independent living adventures.
