I hate the "feature" that re-routes you to your various document directories when you're trying to browse other's document directories. Is there any situation where this is considered useful? Today is going to be a day of sucking down physical machines in to virtual machines. This is what I live for. :)

So I'm uninstalling a program. While waiting for UAC to trigger, Windows decided that Explorer had frozen and decided there was no choice but to blow it away and fire it up again. This also killed the network connection for some unknown reason.

When I do eventually upgrade to Windows 7, the first program up against the wall will be UAC.

So with the PS3 and the Wii, you can stream Netflix. With the XBox 360, you can stream Netflix if you pay for a Microsoft XBox Live Gold subscription. It's only $40 a year or some such like that, but it's still incredibly lame.

Saw True Grit again the other day. That movie only gets better the more you see it. I don't think there could have been anyone better suited to play the pompous Texas Ranger, LaBoeuf than Matt Damon ( Read more... )

Got in to work. My Phenom II quad core is in. Bwahahahahaha! Just waitin' on the motherboard now. Unfortunately not going to get that until January. I'll have to scrounge up some moolah for a new video card. There's a really nice one I'm looking at for $120. It's got a Radeon HD 5700ish processor and 800 stream processors backing it.
