2. Capital bid written (mostly by me), and feedback given by boss that it was "Good Stuff" - Check
3. Capital bid sent off  with all accompanying documentation- Check

From 31st December 2009 the government intend to adopt the Codex Alimentarius, which could be used to make all vitamins, herbal preparations and supplements available on prescription only, from your GP!!!.

Earlier in the week I hatched an impromptu plan to go see katexxxxxx  in deepest Kent.  Partly social, partly to help her out with some frocking, and ask for her expertise and advice on a fifties dress for Allison, and partly because she had vaguely mentioned going to the Military Oddessey at Detling.  And because Kates place is a Nice Place to Be!

Today we hosted a "Big Lunch" at work.  We didn't organise it, a bunch of Project Officers from Wood green did in a "couldn't organise a pissup in a brewery sort of style".   So my job was to run interference, nip any utterly crazy ideas in the bud, and make sure it wnt off smoothly and that staff, volunteers and centre users involved all felt ( Read more... )

Half a dozen trips to Homebase, extremely helpful and knowedgeable staff member was able to tell me exactly what I needed, but it all cost an arm and a leg, hence  empty bank account.

Today, I knocked myself out stripping the minging old wallpaper from the bathroom.  Seeing as the bathroom had a permanent damp patch for nearly ten years, I should be grateful that only a couple of patches of plaster came down.  There are two patches, one, the smaller onw being a strip about 2" wide by about a foot long, right where the wall joins ( Read more... )
