So, you may or may not have heard about the NC Senate seat under contest right now. Elizabeth Dole has chosen the low road, it seems.

My question to you is this: what kind of country do we live in where saying someone doesn't believe in God gives weight to the notion that that person is unfit for office?

So I was surprised to realize that I have been 100% vegetarian for six months now. Utterly painless. I do miss the gustatory delights of certain meats (bacon and fried chicken, I'm talkin' about you), but I am far from even remotely needing to satisfy that craving by introducing meat back into the system. Whooo. I had my first physical exam in seven years yesterday, and Dr. Reardon is a very nice lady. She asked pertinent questions, and seemed to know what the hell she was doing.
