On Saturday afternoon, 7 friends gathered together for the first time in years. In ages past, a meet-up like this happened annually and was called a JAMBAQ (JAM-bake), or Jeff Annual Macy Barb A Que. As a brain sponge of all things idiosyncratically cinematic, I can't believe that I only heard about The Wilhelm Scream for the first time a few days ago. I've certainly heard The Wilhelm Scream, though, as it's been used in over 200 films, including all of the Indiana Jones movies. I'd be astonished if you hadn't heard it, too.

I wish there was a band called Redistricting, because it's kinda hard to say and most people don't know what it means. Furthermore, I wish that Redistricting would go on a world tour opening for Asia and that the tour would be called Redistricting Asia.

I've never been very comfortable talking on a cell phone while driving. A lot of that stems from the fact that my cousin Jessica was killed in a car accident years ago by a guy who was driving while talking on the phone (and who continued talking on the phone for some time after his car had crashed into hers). Ever since I started walking regularly and lengthily last fall, people have been asking me the same question: "How many miles do you walk?" I've never really had a good answer to that question, as I've always just been counting the amount of time I walk and transferring that into Activity Points (which is a Weight Watchers thing).
