Except for doing some cooking and grocery shopping, the only thing I did was to spend some time working on my shirt pattern--measuring a shirt that I know fits me currently and then measuring the pattern I want to use in order to make sure it's workable.

I have to admit I am nearing my fabric stash's limits, but, that said, I walked into a Goodwill store today and found a great selection of nearly new flat sheets in a range of colors that you usually don't find at the Goodwill:

I brought home a load of leaves Sunday and another huge load Monday afternoon. These are loads #3 and #4 for this fall.

Of chores I'd have rather ignored, but I went ahead and did them anyway.

I kept the washing machine busy before I left the house. [I had excellent luck finding some lovely dress fabric this week at the Goodwill, so all of it needed a cold water wash. I put my own clothing on to wash just before I left.]

The storm front's just announced its arrival with a growl of thunder and now the pitter-patter of rain drops has begun!

[Excuse me while I go shut the door! The rain is coming down harder now.]

I now have my sewing machine's top off and its innards have been cleaned and oiled with close supervision from my Hubby who gave me lots of very helpful information and guidance on how to do this stuff.

She's running like a top now....
