THIS is what we badly need to be telling pre-teen girls instead of all that stupid slop about how "LOVE CONQUERS ALL" when 100% of women I've known throughout my life have learned the hard way that loving someone simply isn't enough---not when that person doesn't love you enough to do all the things they know they should.

This afternoon at 3 pm I'm to have my 30 minute lesson on the library's serger machine. Please wish me luck everyone!

Later, after I get back home I'm going to continue cleaning and straightening up the front room. (I already spent three hours on it this morning.)

It got off to a bad start Friday afternoon. Hubby had a sudden--a very sudden!--attack of low blood sugar which caused him to pass out in the hallway. The first I knew of it was when I heard the KA-thump! of him landing on the floor and I came running.

After water aerobics class this morning, I called the library and got the techies to agree upon a time for my serger lesson: Next Wednesday at 3 pm!

I barely managed to get off the phone when somebody else I needed to talk to called: Our insurance agent. I paid that bill over the phone, he promised to send me a receipt in the mail, and that's one ( Read more... )

Finally heard from the water softener company. The gentleman who's been working on our machine has finally managed to get ours fixed and he's on the way. Even better, he's bringing us a load of salt for it as well since ours had run completely out.

I did a happy tango with the water softener company this afternoon. They sent someone out to pick up our ailing water softener who was supposed to bring us one back but hours went by without me hearing anything from them much less receiving a new unit.
