I have never had a car fail inspection before today. I threw a fit at the guy there because they failed my car. One point I had to concede because my parking break really did not work, but the other point was totally bogus. They failed my right front turn signal because there is a crack in the lens. When your best friend looses her yarn stash in a hurricaine? Yes friends, today she started cleaning out the bottom floor of her house and realized that 90% of her yarn was down there in the flood from Ike. The sock here is Autumn Lace. The lace pattern was one stitch off in the last pattern row and I knitted it as written, so it sort of looks like a lacy faux cable instead of the intended design. Labor day weekend L and I went to Oklahoma in the Borken Bow area. We rented a cabin for the weekend and took Athena with us. The cabin was much nicer than I had hoped. It was almost as big as my house with a fairly well stocked kitchen, central air, a hot tub, comfortable bed and satellite TV in a wooded setting. We cooked our own meals for the ( Read more... )

I actually went to an SCA event over the weekend. I got to see the evil ex, the primary reason I quit going in the first place, but we left each other alone so that ended well. The last event I attended was over 5 years ago, I was terrified I'd run into him the whole time and the event got rained out so it was just a bad experience all around. ( Read more... )

I filled out my Alden Amos Questionaire today. I have had it for almost 2 months now and finally decided to get it out and finish it. It is a mere 12 questions which I filled 3 1/2 pages answering.
