Looks like our first big hurdle with Linus is going to be successfully crating him. He doesn't like his crate at all. He'll go in there sometimes to play with something but come straight back out. Yesterday evening we tailored the kennel to fit Linus' needs. I think it was just too spacious for him (it'll fit him when he's grown up too) so I took some of the cushions I salvaged from our old couch and then cut down to floor-pillow size and set them vertically against the back wall so that the livable area is half as big as it was. Went to Portland yesterday for India Day! solteronita and rini and I were chatting several months ago, thinking about the dreary days in February when the weather is icky and so are our moods, and decided to plan something colorful and yummy and musical to combat it. So, the movie Coraline opened at the beginning of February and Cory and I ran to see it. Dunno how familiar y'all are with the "lore" behind the movie, but the marketing was viral-esque, with lots of places to stick in passwords on the website so you could access little behind-the-scenes videos and such ( Read more... )

Applied yesterday afternoon for an ODS plan. They seem to be pretty popular around here, and with a (rather high) $2500 deductible I just pay $81/month. So it's affordable, and hopefully I won't have to utilize it much. That is, if I am accepted. We shall see in the next two weeks!
