... then every now and then something hits me and I just absolutely boggle at the scale of what has happened here. Today I had one of those moments when I looked at this set of pictures.
I just ... there's nothing there. I literally don't recognise any of those 'landmarks' and it's so bizarre because I would have said that I knew Lichfield Street ( Read more... ) -
Interesting
The June quakes have both been re-analysed and upgraded - the first, which had been classed as a 5.5 then became 5.7, is now a 5.9 and the second, which was 6.0 then 6.3, is now classed as a 6.4. That makes it bigger in size than the 6.3 in February and to be honest that wouldn't surprise me. It was a VERY violent shake - I still remember the ( Read more... ) -
Not again!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another large aftershock today (well actually another 3 large aftershocks - 5.8, 5.3 and 6.0 all within 90 minutes of each other). Power is out again at our place and there is glass everywhere. There's liquefaction down our street again though thankfully not at our house so we are once again camping at my parents' house. Happy happy joy joy and ( Read more... )
