Summary: Ueda finds himself on a bus going to who-knows-where, and his traveling partner is none other than Nishikido. What does the summer and this trip have in store for them?
Warnings: Nothing really, except for some silliness and maybe some out of character… and maybe some bad grammar and misspelling.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot, but I sure wish I owned more...

After reading this feel more than free and welcomed to write a line or two telling me what you thought of it. Your comments will surely cheer me up, especially now when I'm a bit down due to the fact that one of my cats, Ossian, passed away this morning in my arms. He was sick and we had to put him to rest, and every time I think of it I start to cry. (ToT)
I'm not out after your sympathy here, I just thought I should let you know since Ossian's death might result in me not writing for a while or it might result in me writing a lot as to occupy my mind… let's hope for the last one shall we?
Anyway I really hope you enjoy the update even though there is not much happening in it…

"So, spill the beans" Kame grinned as he and Ueda had managed to get away from the others with the excuse of going to the bathroom. "Have you two had your official first kiss? Have you confessed your undying love for each others?"
"I'm really sorry to disappoint you…" Ueda started with a slight smile. "But we haven't confessed or kissed. But we've had a almost kiss, again"
"Where? And why was it not a real kiss but an almost kiss?" Kame asked eager to know the details of his friend's love life.
"It was when we went to…" Ueda started trying to remember what it was that Ryo had told the others that they'd been doing. "Get some drinks. That's right. We went to get drinks, and suddenly we started to lean in for a kiss but before we managed to kiss his stupid cell phone started ringing and interrupted us."
"I'm going to kill Yamapi later for interrupting you" Kame muttered under his breath.
"No, no, no" Ueda protested waving his hands in front of him. "No need to spill blood over something like this. And anyways now I'm like 99% sure that Ryo likes me and that's good right?"
"Just 99%?" Kame asked amused and bewildered.
"Yeah, well I don't want to build my hopes up too high you know" Ueda smirked. "Come on let's go back to the others"
Kame smiled at his friend and then they started walking back to join the rest of their company.
"Let's go on that one now!" Junno said with excitement as he pointed at the big water ride.
"It will be great to get wet in this heat ne?" Tegoshi smiled brightly clearly up for it. They all agreed with them both and they made their way towards the ride.
"What did you and Kamenashi do?" Ryo whispered as he pulled Ueda closer to him.
"What do you mean?" Ueda asked raising his eye brow as he looked at Ryo. "We went to the bathroom."
"Then how come Kamenashi has been grinning in my direction ever since you came back?" Ryo asked, still in a low voice.
"How should I know?" Ueda answered. He somehow felt that if he told Ryo about the fact that Kame knew about their relationship development that he would not be too happy with him.
"You're his friend and not to forget band mate." Ryo said pulling Ueda even closer his breath tickling Ueda's cheek slightly. "You should know how his mind works by now."
"Well, Kame is not an easy person to understand" Ueda smiled. "And all we really did was going to the bathroom. Don't you trust me?"
"Of course I do!" Ryo said offended by Ueda's last question. "I'm just curious that's all!"
"Hey, stop whispering and act all lovey-dovey and hurry up instead!" Jin's voice reached them and interrupted their talk. They looked in the direction of the voice and noticed that the others were already standing in the line.
"Shut up!" Ryo shouted back but followed Jin's order anyways, grabbing a hold of Ueda's hand and dragged him towards the line.
"Why did we have to be in the front?" Ueda asked rhetorically as they made it off from the ride. Both Ryo and he were drenched from head to toe. The others had managed to keep themselves somewhat dry, and Kame seemed to have been guarded by some invisible wall as he didn't seem to have a single drop of water on him. Ueda didn't really mind being wet, but it wasn't that nice walking around with drenched jeans and his t-shirt gluing to him like an extra skin.
"Don't sulk princess" Ryo smiled and patted his shoulder. "At least you're not alone."
"True." Ueda said looking over at Ryo and smiled. A drenched Ryo was quite a sight, quite a great sight actually.
"Anyway I like the way the shirt clings on you now." Ryo said leaning in closer and whispering in Ueda's ear. "It's sexy"
"What?" Ueda's eyes widen in shock. "What did you just say?"
"I know you heard me clearly the first time so there is no need for me to repeat myself" Ryo smirked as he let his hand slowly slide down Ueda's back. The touch made Ueda shiver slightly, or maybe it was the water he wasn't sure.
"You called me sexy" Ueda said in a low whisperer. "You've never called me that before."
"Sometime has to be the first, right?" Ryo winked before he grabbed Ueda's hand and started to follow the others that were making their way towards another attraction. "But even if you look sexy, I know that I look a hundred times sexier, right princess?"
"Always the big ego" Ueda shook his head a bit amused. "You just had to make up for complimenting me by giving yourself some self praising"
Later after hours of more fun on the rides and stuffing themselves with cotton candy and ice cream they all made their ways back towards the cars. Ryo and Ueda were once again to go with Jin, Yamapi and Kame. When they had been driving for about 10 minutes the car suddenly died down to everyone's, mostly Jin's shock.
"Crap, crap, crap!" Jin chanted as the car came to a stop. "I knew I should've filled the gas tank"
"You drove on an almost empty tank?" Ryo asked in disbelief.
"I thought we would manage to get back on what was left" Jin said turning his head to face the back seat and gave his friends a stupid smile.
"Baka!" Kame sighed and hit his boyfriend over the head. "Please tell me that you have some spare gas in the back"
"Sorry, but I think I used that last time this happened a few weeks ago" Jin said smiling apologetic towards Kame who just sighed in annoyance.
"And you didn't refill it?" Kame asked annoyed over his boyfriend's idiotism.
"I forgot, okay?" Jin tried his best to defend himself. "Everybody forgets sometimes"
"No need to fight over this." Ueda cut in. "Well I guess someone should go and get some gas then. I think I saw a gas station when we drove here earlier today"
"Are you volunteering to go and get some for us?" Yamapi asked leaning against the back of the front seat that was occupied by Jin.
"Sure, I mush rather go for a walk than sit around here waiting" Ueda said and unbuckled his seatbelt. "And I haven't really exercised for a few days now"
"I'll come with you" Ryo said and quickly followed Ueda's example and unbuckling his own seatbelt.
"Of course you will" Kame said quietly to himself but Ueda heard him clearly. "Have a safe walk" he then added as Ueda and Ryo got out from the car.
"And please don't get sidetracked along the way" Jin added with a grin so big it almost covered his whole face.
"Yeah, cause we don't wanna be stuck here while you're away having fun with each other's" Yamapi said grinning almost as big as Jin.
"Shut it or we'll leave you here to starve" Ryo snorted and closed the door with a slam. Ueda just shook his head and waved to the others as he and Ryo started to walk away along the side of the road ahead of them.
They had been walking for about 30 minutes talking, flirting and laughing when they suddenly heard a loud noise in the far distance.
"What was that?" Ryo asked looking around him for the source of the sound but all he could see was fields and more fields.
"I think it was the thunder" Ueda said and looked up into the sky just to see how gray it had become in mere minutes. "I think it will start raining soon."
"Fuck" Ryo said grabbing a hold of Ueda's hand and started to walk quicker just as the first rain drops hit them. Their quickening pace soon turned into a run as the rain started to fall down hard on and around them drenching them from head to toe. They ran for their lives in search for the damn gas station and somewhere to hide from the rain. They ran and ran, the rain making the ground slippery and the view blurry.
Finally when they reached the gas station a while later, they both were drenched into the skin and looked like drenched kittens. Their mood was obviously not the best as the managed to get a hold of a tank of gas and some hot tea in the gas station shop.
"We should wait out the rain before we return" Ueda said sipping on his hot tea while leaning against the wall of the house. He was holding the cup with both his hands to keep the heat better.
"Yeah, there is no way I'm goin out into the rain again" Ryo stated pulling at his wet clothes that was clinging to him like a second skin for the second time that day. "Getting drenched two times in one day is more than enough. Thank god it's summer and not winter or we'd be frozen to death by now"
"Yeah" Ueda smiled, his mood changing from bad to good with every sip of the tea that he drank. "So, what do you think we should do when we get back to the hotel?"
"The first thing I'm gonna do is take a hot shower and change into dry clothes" Ryo said and fell into a daydream.
"Me too, dibs for the first shower" Ueda smiled and then emptied his paper cup.
"Hey!" Ryo protested snapping out of his daze. "I said it first. I should get the first shower"
"But I dibbed first" Ueda said a playful smile playing on his lips.
"I don't care!" Ryo said making his point by putting down his foot with much force. "I want the first shower and therefore I'm gonna have it!"
"I guess you'll have to join me then" Ueda said without thinking before as he dropped the empty paper cup into a litter bin.
"I guess I will" Ryo glared at him and then it hit them both what they had just said and their eyes widen in shock.
"I'm just kidding. It was a joke!" Ryo started to explain and defend his comment as his and Ueda's faces both turned into a nice shade of red. "I mean there is no way we can share a shower, I mean we can't do that before we have had our first official ki-" Ryo's defense speech was cut off by his phone going off and he quickly pulled it out from his pocket and answered it.
Ueda looked at him stunned over how Ryo had defended himself but his thoughts on that matter disappeared as he noticed Ryo's reaction to the phone call.
"What? You gotta be kidding me?" Ryo's voice was loud and he sounded annoyed, almost frustrated. "We almost drowned for your sake, of course I'm mad. You guys better make up for it! And come and get us at once or you'll regret you ever was born. Bye!" and then Ryo closed the phone with so much force that Ueda was afraid it would break.
"Who was it?" Ueda asked even though he was pretty sure he knew exactly who it was.
"Bakanishi" Ryo said and looked over at Ueda. "He just told me that Nakamaru had arrived with a tank of gas just now. He had called Kame to see why it took them so long and they told him about it all. This means we almost drowned to no use at all!"
"Oh," Ueda said, kind of getting why Ryo was mad but he thought that Ryo made a bit too big of a deal of it. "Well, it's not all in vain. At least we have a good story to tell our future grandchildren, and we will laugh about it all in the future. "
"I guess" Ryo said letting his temper cool down. "Yeah, maybe. But still! And why was we all so stupid and didn't even think of calling somebody before we started walking? I mean that should be the first thing that pops into your mind, right? "
"Oh well, I guess we're all idiots some times."Ueda said shaking his head slightly while sighing. "and that was almost more stupid than driving on an almost empty tank."
