It's not the posting every day... it's the loads of cool stuff your friends write in response and the comments you want to write to their posts and comments and the increased feeling of community and obligation and friendship and the extra time it takes!

First of all, Zack made a dessert for thorne_scratch. Now for today's ramble!

I spent lunch today with our student worker. We went out for sushi (there's a couple of good sushi places in Junon), and on the walk there we talked.

I'm incredibly lucky. I'm a happy creature by nature, and I do like it that way, even when I feel bad for occasionally shining optimism a bit too brightly for real life. Sometimes even peril-sensitive sunglasses won't protect your eyes around me. So it's really disconcerting when I'm not like that.

Today a lab at the university paid me $25 to take one of their laptops. Best deal ever! It's a Dell Inspiron 1545. It's blue and pretty! With a big screen! And... no touchpad. Or not a working one.
