I am exhuasted after four intense days. All grand plans of heading down to Tsujiki market for breakfast every morning was shelved. Ikebokuro I practically skipped even though I wanted to visit
Dollyteria to pick up some stuff. And thus began the "Reshuffle the trip" Day
And ended up taking the bus to Asakusa for a look-see, I was here the last time, so not taking much photos.
Ended up going to
Tsukiji after all. It felt like my local
wet markets(Chinatown Complex basement, Tekka, Geylang Serai, Jurong East near Chinese Garden MRT hint hint) combined but on a much bigger scale and Japanese food oriented. *Shrugs* I have not visited Pasir Panjang Wholesale market or Jurong Fishery port so I can't comment on that.
There was mention that the market will be moving to Toyosu around November 2016, I'm not too sure about this, so do some homework if you're keen to go.
And come by to try
locally cooked unagi I did. Genmaicha is lovely
No upclose food photos, it didn't turn out well. You have to
come try it.
One of the few times when I'm not too early or too late for proper shrine visit. There was even a miko-san working in the office as well.
