Upside of global financial crises: the British pound is $1.53, and the Euro is $1.26. Also, I've never had enough money to feel comfortable investing, so my money is still in the bank (and insured by the FDIC, should the bank fail), only marginally devaluing at the difference between interest and inflation. Europe, anyone?

Done with standardized testing! (Just took the bio GRE. Now time for a nap.)

I wasn't hallucinating! I don't have to retake the GRE!!!!!!! (I just have to take the subject test....)

GRE is done! As long as I wasn't hallucinating my scores (which is possible, since I was really out of it after four hours of testing), I don't need to repeat it! Also, having to do two math sections was torture. Timed math tests really stress me out. But I strongly suspect that the easier one was the one scored.

My advice to anyone considering applying for Ph.D. programs: take the GRE (and subject test, if applicable) well before you need to start worrying about applications. It's pretty stressful to work on both at once. I'm also supposed to be doing an independent project at work that I haven't even started on due to studying for the GRE. I need to get ( Read more... )
