I just spent the last 36 hours in a cleaning frenzy, and I'm about to collapse. A smart person would have anticipated the moving company estimator needing to come around now and would have been purging all the crap they didn't want to move for the past month or so. So, my dad and stepmom are having another baby. Yup, I'm going to have a brother or sister 31 years younger than me. Everyone generally thinks they're nuts, mostly because they are constantly at each other's throats about every little thing. Weekend to myself...
And all I'm doing is cleaning. I can't believe it's already May, and I need to get my place packed soon. It looks like it's going to cost me about $2000-$2500 for movers, but that's all-inclusive (taxes, gas, etc). I think it's worth it to not have to worry about anything, especially since I also need to get my car, Sophia, 2 cats, and a hamster up ( Read more... ) -

Well, I had quite a good trip this past week, despite driving about 20 hours and the fact that I blew a tire going about 80 mph on the highway on the way to Montreal. Fortunately, I didn't lose control of my car and managed to pull off the highway. I talked to Jim (future boss) yesterday, and I now feel better and worse about my upcoming move to Montreal. It turns out that the drug company who would be funding my fellowship is being evasive about committing to the funds.
