Chapter 7
The doorbell rang and YunHo yelped surprised. He looked at JaeJoong but noted that the vampire didn’t looked surprised. “My family is here to talk” said JaeJoong but he didn’t walked away from him to open the door. “I’m sorry YunHo, I didn’t thought that they would come here so soon.” YunHo looked suddenly panicking at JaeJoong and shook his head. “I don’t want to see them Jae, please!” YunHo tried to stand up but JaeJoong pulled him back so that he fell back into JaeJoong’s arms. YunHo pressed his face against JaeJoong’s chest and tried to smell his unique vampire smell. He felt how JaeJoong caressed his back with his right hand and he heard how JaeJoong whispered something in his ear. “I promise you that nothing would happen to you” said JaeJoong and was grateful for his family to wait outside until he was ready to invite them in. His creator and brothers were strong enough to hear what was happening between them but JaeJoong wasn’t really bothered with that. “I will protect you, all you need to do is to trust me like you did earlier.” JaeJoong wanted to say more to YunHo, his mate and future love, trying to convince him that nothing bad would happen to him when his creator would enter their house but YunHo stopped him. YunHo was afraid and he still didn’t trusted the vampires who were waiting outside but he wanted to trust JaeJoong, he wanted to depend on somebody and to feel safe with somebody, he wanted to try it and he started to believe JaeJoong’s words. It was difficult for YunHo, but he wanted to give JaeJoong a chance now that he had heard JaeJoong’s explanation and now that JaeJoong had told him that he loved him he… something had changed inside of him. “JaeJoong… I…” YunHo pressed his lips innocent against JaeJoong’s lips and closed his eyes, his heartbeat quickened and made a louder and louder sound, his breathing quickened also and he trembled a little from the nerves but he did it! At first JaeJoong didn’t responded to him and stayed still but after a few seconds he felt how JaeJoong closed his arms around his body and he felt how JaeJoong softly kissed him back. When JaeJoong after a few minutes stopped and pulled himself back he smiled at YunHo. “Thank you” he said softly and caressed YunHo’s cheek softly. YunHo felt how his cheeks turned pink and he lowered his head. “Please stay with me and don’t let them cone near me” said YunHo with a small voice.
“Of course! I promise you that nothing bad will happen again” JaeJoong placed a small kiss on YunHo’s neck and tried to calm his mate a little, just by holding him. He believed that JaeJoong really wanted to protect him, but he was still a little wary about the presence from the other three vampires outside. “I need to open the door now” said JaeJoong in a whisper and he helped YunHo to stand up. The first thing what YunHo did when he stood besides JaeJoong was grabbing his hand in a tight grip so that he would feel a little more safe. He needed to feel JaeJoong besides him, feel his hand in his, to know that he was not alone. JaeJoong gave his hand a little squeeze and smiled encouragingly at him. “Give me a squeeze in my hand if you’re still afraid when my family is inside and I will help you” said JaeJoong before he did a few steps forward and opened the door to let his family in. YunHo saw the three vampires immediately, standing a few feet away from the open door, half hidden inside the shadow and pressed himself closer against JaeJoong’s body and squeezed his hand tightly. JaeJoong responded immediately and closed both his hands around YunHo’s shaking body and did a few steps away from his family. He exchanged a quick look with his creator to let him know that YunHo was still afraid of them and he received a nod from his creator. YunHo’s reactions were normal and the vampires knew and respected that. JaeJoong’s brothers were maybe a little hesitant but they also knew now that they had made a mess from the situation.
YunHo saw how the first vampire entered JaeJoong’s house, followed by the two vampires who had tried to kill him. The two vampires didn’t looked at him but they were watching him with their vampire senses, but YunHo didn’t knew that. The only thing he knew was that the two vampires were looking in the other direction then were he and JaeJoong were standing and that they didn’t gave him any attention. But when he looked at the oldest vampire, the vampire who was clearly a westerner he saw that the vampire was watching him with a curious look. YunHo yelped and looked quickly away from the vampires, he wanted to run away from them, to hide somewhere safe and with JaeJoong besides him. He was now afraid that he had made the wrong decision to let the vampires enter their house, he was afraid that the vampires would attack him again, and he KNEW that if they would do it, that they would succeed this time! There were now three of them inside their house and JaeJoong was already tired from all what had happened. He was sure that JaeJoong wouldn’t be able to defend him again! Slowly and without thinking, he did a step backwards, and then again… His eyes were now again fixed at the three vampires, he saw that they all stared at him and one of them said something, the youngest vampire, but he didn’t heard anything. He felt how someone pulled him back, back to the vampires and suddenly he heard a voice inside of his head. The voice was small and sounded tired, but it was definitely JaeJoong. [i]”YunHo… please, trust me. Don’t be afraid.”[/i] He looked alarmed up at the vampire who sat now on his knees before him, JaeJoong had both YunHo’s hands in his and he stared with a tired, but friendly smile at him. But he wasn’t able to see JaeJoong clearly, it was as if he looked through a tight mist at the vampire and when he blinked with his eyes he realized that the mist only became worse. He saw that JaeJoong lifted one hand and the next moment he felt how the vampire caressed his cheek. “Don’t cry” said he softly and just when JaeJoong had said those words he realized that he indeed cried, he lifted his own hand to his cheek and felt that they were wet from the tears.
Had he really cried? But… Afraid and ashamed he looked at the three vampires, he didn’t wanted to look useless and weak for them, but before he could look closely at them he felt how JaeJoong had placed both his hands besides his face and turned him around and away from the vampire who were watching them. He turned his face back so that YunHo only could look at JaeJoong and calmed a little when he saw the convincing look in the eyes from the vampire before him. “YunHo, come with me and sit with me while I will talk to my creator and my brothers. And I know that you are afraid of them and that you don’t trust them, but please believe me when I’m telling you that I and my creator would let anything happen to you.” JaeJoong still looked at him while he spoke with his calming and friendly voice. He saw that JaeJoong raised and wrapped his arms around his shaking body and he felt how the vampire gently guided him to the couch. He was still afraid, and he looked again over his shoulder at the three vampires, but he accepted it that JaeJoong brought him to the couch and that he pulled YunHo’s smaller body on his lap. He felt how JaeJoong took his hand in his and he leaned closer against JaeJoong’s chest, hoping to feel a little more safer in JaeJoong’s embrace. And it worked, he saw that the three vampires now looked at him, they didn’t moved and they didn’t spoke to each other, but they were standing there, unmoving and timeless. But, this time he tried to trust JaeJoong and he closed his eyes, trying to shut everything out and to just concentrate on JaeJoong, his body against his own, JaeJoong’s hands on his, and the vampire smell from JaeJoong. It was a little strange, until a few hours before he had thought about the smell as something bad, the smell had made him uneasy, but strangely that same smell was now comforting him, telling him that he didn’t needed to be afraid any longer and that he was with a caring, loving vampire who didn’t wanted anything more for him to than to be happy. A vampire… it was really strange, a few months ago he never believed in vampires, the only vampires he had known were those he had read about in his fantasy books, the movies he had watched with YooChun, and now he was sitting here, on the lap from a vampire who loved him and wanted nothing more for him to be happy! This was all so unreal and strange! But… even now that he still wasn’t sure if he wanted this life, he knew that he would be happy with JaeJoong. Suddenly, one of the vampires, JaeJoong’s creator, spoke. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jung YunHo.” JaeJoong’s creator did slowly, very slowly a few steps forward, respecting the fact that YunHo wouldn’t been able to follow the vampire with his eyes if he moved with his vampire speed. But, even now that YunHo trusted JaeJoong and felt a little more safe, he still tensed and made a soft, nervous sound. His eyes widened and he pressed his own body closer against JaeJoong’s.
With a loud pounding heard he looked away from JaeJoong’s creator and squeezed JaeJoong’s hand so hart that his own fingers started to hurt. But he didn’t let go of JaeJoong’s hand and wished that he was braver so that he would be able to face the vampires, but he wasn’t brave and he knew that. So he didn’t looked at JaeJoong’s creator and didn’t responded to him. When he didn’t responded to the vampire he tensed, the silence was maddening and he became worried that he had offended the vampire and that he and JaeJoong would be in trouble again. But before YunHo could get too nervous JaeJoong broke the silence, he spoke to his creator while hugged YunHo quickly before he looked at the other three vampires. “I can’t speak for my mate, but I’m sure that he wouldn’t trust you at the moment, so I want to ask all of you to just let him be and to talk to me, I’m also the person who has been attacked and I want to prevent that something like that would happen again, to both YunHo and I.” YunHo tensed again while he listened to what JaeJoong just had said and wondered what would happen now. He remembered clearly what JaeJoong’s brothers had told him, that he needed to die so that JaeJoong could live. But… he didn’t wanted to die! He was not ready to die! But at the same time, he also didn’t wanted that JaeJoong would be cursed any longer! Was he selfish that he didn’t wanted to die? For JaeJoong and his family? He looked quickly at the three vampires and he knew the answer for his own question, no, he didn’t wanted to die for the vampires who had tried to kill him, he thought about them as evil, as if they were monsters and murderers! No, he didn’t wanted to do ANYTHING for them! But the older vampire, JaeJoong’s creator, he was… different… YunHo wasn’t sure if he could trust the vampire, but the man had tried to protect them while they really needed help, he had stopped JaeJoong’s brothers while they were attacking them, but he WAS a vampire and they were all dangerous! Even JaeJoong could be dangerous if he wanted, so no, he wasn’t sure about JaeJoong’s creator but the point was, he was afraid to die and he didn’t wanted to do anything for those vampires, not now and not anytime soon! He wouldn’t have had not choose this life if he had a other choice, if he had a other option than stay behind and die or go with JaeJoong and live this life than he wouldn’t have been here, he was sure of that. So no, he DIDN’T wanted to die for all those vampires! This was not his fault, he hasn’t chosen for this mess and he wasn’t responsible for it. He didn’t knew what exactly has happened in the past end how JaeJoong’s blood line had become cursed, but he knew one thing for sure, and that was that he wasn’t responsible for it and that it would be unfair that he needed to pay for something he even understood!
YunHo looked brave up and saw that JaeJoong’s brothers were looking annoyed at each other, but none of them said anything. It was as if they were afraid for their creator, the older vampire. YunHo turned his attention to the oldest vampire and saw that he was looking at him with a knowing look in his eyes, as if he knew what he was thinking! It made YunHo uncomfortable and he wished that the vampire would look away, and… he did it! JaeJoong’s creator looked away, just when he had wished that the vampire would do it. This was really strange and YunHo didn’t liked the thought that maybe, this vampire could read his mind. He pressed himself closer against JaeJoong and he felt how the vampire hugged him back again, responding to him. “Master, I will not accept that this would happen again, I trusted my brothers and I never thought that they would be able to do something like this, but they did it and they were ready to sacrifice MY mate for it! We all known that it is impossible for me to find another mate and that I it is simply NOT fair to YunHo that he need to pay for this. He doesn’t understand what is happening and I WILL NOT lose him. He is mine and I want to keep him with me for the rest of my inhuman life!” while JaeJoong spoke to his family he looked seething from the anger at his two brothers. “And… I have lost my trust in my brothers, I wish to not see them anymore after today.” YunHo tensed and looked up at JaeJoong, he needed to see his face to know that everything was still fine. And when he looked at JaeJoong, she saw that the vampire didn’t looked worried, he only looked REALLY angry, but not afraid or worried that something could happen to them. It seemed that JaeJoong really trusted his creator and that he felt safe to speak so freely now that the other older vampire was with them. JaeJoong turned his attention to his creator and spoke now directly to him. “I want permission to kill my brothers if they are trying to hurt my mate again!” JaeJoong’s words sounded harsh, but YunHo was relieved to hear them, it gave him a safe feeling, knowing that JaeJoong was trying to do his best for him, for his protection and safety. But, he didn’t had the guts to look at the oldest vampire to know if he would accept this. He was simply too afraid that he would hear or see something he didn’t wanted and that the older vampire wouldn’t give JaeJoong his permission, that he would support JaeJoong’s brothers and his other two adopted sons. He now closed his eyes and pressed his face flat against JaeJoong’s chest, trying to shut everything out.
He tried to think about happy things, things he liked while he tried to NOT listen to the vampires. He thought about his parents and how much he missed them, about YooChun who was his best friend and about home, his own bedroom, his other friends besides YooChun… But just when he did that he realized that that was not a good idea, he now became sad because he missed all those people and he wanted to go home! He swallowed and was happy that he still had pressed his face against JaeJoong’s chest because he knew that his eyes were now wet from the tears. He wanted to go home and to talk with YooChun about all this mess, he wanted to know his opinion, YooChun had always been his best friend and he had always known the right answers. YooChun was the one who really knew him and he was the only person who knew almost everything about him. [i]He just wanted to go home…[/i] “YunHo, are you alright?” He heard how JaeJoong softly called him and just then, at that same moment, he noted that he had cried so hart that JaeJoong had a wet spot on his chest from his tears. But now that he knew this, he was too ashamed to look up, knowing that the other vampires would have seen that as well. He was sure that they all thought badly about him, that he was a crybaby and that he was too weak and too useless for JaeJoong. He was afraid that JaeJoong’s brothers would laugh at him! So he didn’t looked up and didn’t answered JaeJoong’s question, he even didn’t trusted his own voice, he was afraid that his voice would crack when he would try to speak. “Excuse me” said JaeJoong to his family and before YunHo knew what was happening, he felt how JaeJoong lifted him up in his arms and carried him away. He closed the door to the living room behind him and carried YunHo to his own bedroom. JaeJoong knew that his family could hear every word he would say, but he also knew that YunHo wasn’t aware of that. JaeJoong sat down on YunHo’s bed and waited for YunHo to be ready to look up at him and until he had calmed a little. A few minutes passed and YunHo still hasn’t looked up, he was confused and didn’t understood his own feelings. There was just so much to he needed to over think and there was still so much he didn’t understood, he also wasn’t even sure IF he wanted to know what was happening. And more importantly, he missed his home and his best friend.
“J- JaeJoong?” YunHo still avoided it to look at the vampire and was still pressing his face against JaeJoong’s chest, not sure if he was ready to look up. “Yes?” he felt how JaeJoong stroked his hair and he felt how JaeJoong pressed a soft kiss on his head. YunHo was for a moment not sure what to do and how he needed to respond to JaeJoong, but eventually he looked up at the vampire and saw that JaeJoong had a caring look in his eyes. And it was strange for him, he had never felt this before, but he welt calmer knowing that JaeJoong was here for him and he was now brave enough to talk. “I don’t want to see you brothers again, please, let them go away!” he grabbed JaeJoong by both his arms and shivered only by the thought about the two vampires. He really thought about them as monsters and murderers. They were really dangerous and he didn’t wanted to see them again, NEVER! He now looked away from JaeJoong and was afraid for his reaction. “Can I return back to my home?” his voice sounded sad while he asked this last question and was afraid for JaeJoong’s answer because if he would say that he couldn’t go home and he didn’t wanted to hear that. “To answer you first question… Yes, I they will not come back to our home after today, my creator has personally ordered them to stay on a safe distance from us and…” JaeJoong paused while he tried to think of a way to explain this easy to YunHo. “When a vampire creates another vampire, he becomes the master or the younger vampire, a teacher and a new parent. The younger vampire CAN’T disobey his or her master.” YunHo thought about what he just had heard and nodded, “and did you, master… ordered you brothers to stay away from us?” YunHo fumbled nervous at his shirt and felt already a little better. “Yes, my brothers aren’t able to visit us or come near is as long as we aren’t inviting them to come back.” JaeJoong smiled comforting at his mate and was his creator really thankful for his help and support. But now he needed to answer YunHo’s next question and he wasn’t sure if his mate could handle it. He took YunHo’s smaller hands in his and felt that his hands were shaking. Worried he tried to warm YunHo’s cold and shaking hands and hated himself for what he was going to tell YunHo. “I’m sorry YunHo, but you can’t return home until I’m strong again. I can’t protect you and myself properly when I’m not inside my own home. But… I promise you that when I’m recovered we will visit you family.” JaeJoong didn’t said anything about YooChun, knowing that the human was his best friend and that his mate wanted to see him too. But it was not wise for YunHo to meet with his friend, there were so much things where YunHo couldn’t talk about with his friend, YunHo wasn’t allowed to talk much about JaeJoong and that he was a vampire. All what had happened since YunHo had left his home was a secret and it would not only be dangerous for YunHo himself to talk about this with a human but he would also bring his best friend in danger if he would talk about his new life. But JaeJoong didn’t wanted to tell his mate this, not yet. And YunHo responded as he had suspected, he lowered his head and his lip started to tremble. It was hurting JaeJoong to see his mate this way but he needed to be strong, for his mate. “I’m sorry YunHo, but you need to wait a little bit longer before I can bring you back to you old home to meet you parents. This is now you home YunHo, you are now home with me.”
YunHo cried now in silence, not sure if he needed to be relieved or not. He wanted to go home and to be with his parents, he was worried and afraid for his new life but he also wanted to be with JaeJoong, this was just so confusing! YunHo saw, just when he wanted to say something that JaeJoong had looked up, as if he heard something he himself had missed because his ears were not strong enough to hear the same as JaeJoong did. “My master is here” said JaeJoong and just when he had said that he heard how somebody knocked on the door to his bedroom. YunHo’s eyes widened and he looked worried at JaeJoong. “What do I need to do? Why is he here?” He looked around him and didn’t wanted that the vampire would enter his bedroom, but when he looked at JaeJoong he saw that he had no choice in this matter, this was JaeJoong’s master and creator, and if he wanted to enter he would do it. He swallowed and looked pleadingly at JaeJoong but he only shook his head with a apologetic look in his eyes. The door opened and the vampire stepped inside his room. YunHo’s first response was to back away from the vampire and he tried to hide behind JaeJoong who was still sitting next to him on his bed. “JaeJoong, I would a appreciate it if you would introduce me officially to you mate.” The vampire hasn’t walked far into his bedroom, he stood still just two steps away from the doorstep and didn’t came further. The older vampire looked at JaeJoong and when YunHo followed the look from the other vampire he saw that JaeJoong didn’t looked happy but he still turned around so that he could look at him. “YunHo, this is my master and creator, his name is John and he has been born in London, more than nine century ago.” He saw that JaeJoong still didn’t looked happy, as if he knew something he didn’t but before he could ask anything JaeJoong started to talk again. “And master, this is Jung YunHo, my mate. He is eighteen years old and he was already mine before he knew me. I have made a promise with his parents that I would come and take him when he was eighteen years old.” JaeJoong gave his mate a squeezed his hand to let him know that everything was still fine and that he didn’t needed to worry. But even now that JaeJoong tried to comfort him, he was still unsure and didn’t like it that the vampire, John, would know all this personal information about him. But what bothered him more than the fact that John knew this about him, it worried him more that JaeJoong still looked and acted strange, did he knew something he didn’t knew? “JaeJoong, will you leave this room for a few minutes so that I can talk with your mate?” Oh, what?! YunHo looked alarmed and shook his head, “No, stay with me!” he grabbed JaeJoong by his arm and looked afraid at the older vampire. He knew that even now that John had asked JaeJoong to leave, that it had not been a real question, but a order. “Master, he is not ready…” YunHo saw that JaeJoong looked pained at his master and that he didn’t wanted to leave him alone. “JaeJoong, you mate will be safe and nobody will hurt him while I’m here.” John spoke calmly and he had a friendly look in his eyes, but YunHo didn’t saw it. He was totally panicking now and he didn’t wanted that JaeJoong would leave him alone with the other vampire, not even for a second! But, JaeJoong had no choice, he needed to obey, just as YunHo needed to obey JaeJoong. “I’m so sorry” said JaeJoong in a whisper and placed a kiss on his forehead before he stood up and walked toward the door. “I’m waiting outside for you” was all what he said before JaeJoong closed the door behind him, leaving YunHo alone with John, JaeJoong’s master and creator, but more importantly, a vampire who would be able to kill him within seconds if he wanted and he was alone without JaeJoong to protect him, not knowing why the vampire wanted to talk to him and why JaeJoong needed to leave.

The two vampires didn’t looked at him but they were watching him with their vampire senses, but YunHo didn’t knew that. The only thing he knew was that the two vampires were looking in the other direction then were he and JaeJoong were standing and that they didn’t gave him any attention. But when he looked at the oldest vampire, the vampire who was clearly a westerner he saw that the vampire was watching him with a curious look. YunHo yelped and looked quickly away from the vampires, he wanted to run away from them, to hide somewhere safe and with JaeJoong besides him. He was now afraid that he had made the wrong decision to let the vampires enter their house, he was afraid that the vampires would attack him again, and he KNEW that if they would do it, that they would succeed this time! There were now three of them inside their house and JaeJoong was already tired from all what had happened. He was sure that JaeJoong wouldn’t be able to defend him again! Slowly and without thinking, he did a step backwards, and then again… His eyes were now again fixed at the three vampires, he saw that they all stared at him and one of them said something, the youngest vampire, but he didn’t heard anything. He felt how someone pulled him back, back to the vampires and suddenly he heard a voice inside of his head. The voice was small and sounded tired, but it was definitely JaeJoong. [i]”YunHo… please, trust me. Don’t be afraid.”[/i] He looked alarmed up at the vampire who sat now on his knees before him, JaeJoong had both YunHo’s hands in his and he stared with a tired, but friendly smile at him. But he wasn’t able to see JaeJoong clearly, it was as if he looked through a tight mist at the vampire and when he blinked with his eyes he realized that the mist only became worse. He saw that JaeJoong lifted one hand and the next moment he felt how the vampire caressed his cheek. “Don’t cry” said he softly and just when JaeJoong had said those words he realized that he indeed cried, he lifted his own hand to his cheek and felt that they were wet from the tears.
Had he really cried? But… Afraid and ashamed he looked at the three vampires, he didn’t wanted to look useless and weak for them, but before he could look closely at them he felt how JaeJoong had placed both his hands besides his face and turned him around and away from the vampire who were watching them. He turned his face back so that YunHo only could look at JaeJoong and calmed a little when he saw the convincing look in the eyes from the vampire before him. “YunHo, come with me and sit with me while I will talk to my creator and my brothers. And I know that you are afraid of them and that you don’t trust them, but please believe me when I’m telling you that I and my creator would let anything happen to you.” JaeJoong still looked at him while he spoke with his calming and friendly voice. He saw that JaeJoong raised and wrapped his arms around his shaking body and he felt how the vampire gently guided him to the couch. He was still afraid, and he looked again over his shoulder at the three vampires, but he accepted it that JaeJoong brought him to the couch and that he pulled YunHo’s smaller body on his lap. He felt how JaeJoong took his hand in his and he leaned closer against JaeJoong’s chest, hoping to feel a little more safer in JaeJoong’s embrace. And it worked, he saw that the three vampires now looked at him, they didn’t moved and they didn’t spoke to each other, but they were standing there, unmoving and timeless. But, this time he tried to trust JaeJoong and he closed his eyes, trying to shut everything out and to just concentrate on JaeJoong, his body against his own, JaeJoong’s hands on his, and the vampire smell from JaeJoong. It was a little strange, until a few hours before he had thought about the smell as something bad, the smell had made him uneasy, but strangely that same smell was now comforting him, telling him that he didn’t needed to be afraid any longer and that he was with a caring, loving vampire who didn’t wanted anything more for him to than to be happy. A vampire… it was really strange, a few months ago he never believed in vampires, the only vampires he had known were those he had read about in his fantasy books, the movies he had watched with YooChun, and now he was sitting here, on the lap from a vampire who loved him and wanted nothing more for him to be happy! This was all so unreal and strange! But… even now that he still wasn’t sure if he wanted this life, he knew that he would be happy with JaeJoong. Suddenly, one of the vampires, JaeJoong’s creator, spoke. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jung YunHo.” JaeJoong’s creator did slowly, very slowly a few steps forward, respecting the fact that YunHo wouldn’t been able to follow the vampire with his eyes if he moved with his vampire speed. But, even now that YunHo trusted JaeJoong and felt a little more safe, he still tensed and made a soft, nervous sound. His eyes widened and he pressed his own body closer against JaeJoong’s.
With a loud pounding heard he looked away from JaeJoong’s creator and squeezed JaeJoong’s hand so hart that his own fingers started to hurt. But he didn’t let go of JaeJoong’s hand and wished that he was braver so that he would be able to face the vampires, but he wasn’t brave and he knew that. So he didn’t looked at JaeJoong’s creator and didn’t responded to him. When he didn’t responded to the vampire he tensed, the silence was maddening and he became worried that he had offended the vampire and that he and JaeJoong would be in trouble again. But before YunHo could get too nervous JaeJoong broke the silence, he spoke to his creator while hugged YunHo quickly before he looked at the other three vampires. “I can’t speak for my mate, but I’m sure that he wouldn’t trust you at the moment, so I want to ask all of you to just let him be and to talk to me, I’m also the person who has been attacked and I want to prevent that something like that would happen again, to both YunHo and I.” YunHo tensed again while he listened to what JaeJoong just had said and wondered what would happen now. He remembered clearly what JaeJoong’s brothers had told him, that he needed to die so that JaeJoong could live. But… he didn’t wanted to die! He was not ready to die! But at the same time, he also didn’t wanted that JaeJoong would be cursed any longer! Was he selfish that he didn’t wanted to die? For JaeJoong and his family? He looked quickly at the three vampires and he knew the answer for his own question, no, he didn’t wanted to die for the vampires who had tried to kill him, he thought about them as evil, as if they were monsters and murderers! No, he didn’t wanted to do ANYTHING for them! But the older vampire, JaeJoong’s creator, he was… different… YunHo wasn’t sure if he could trust the vampire, but the man had tried to protect them while they really needed help, he had stopped JaeJoong’s brothers while they were attacking them, but he WAS a vampire and they were all dangerous! Even JaeJoong could be dangerous if he wanted, so no, he wasn’t sure about JaeJoong’s creator but the point was, he was afraid to die and he didn’t wanted to do anything for those vampires, not now and not anytime soon! He wouldn’t have had not choose this life if he had a other choice, if he had a other option than stay behind and die or go with JaeJoong and live this life than he wouldn’t have been here, he was sure of that. So no, he DIDN’T wanted to die for all those vampires! This was not his fault, he hasn’t chosen for this mess and he wasn’t responsible for it. He didn’t knew what exactly has happened in the past end how JaeJoong’s blood line had become cursed, but he knew one thing for sure, and that was that he wasn’t responsible for it and that it would be unfair that he needed to pay for something he even understood!
YunHo looked brave up and saw that JaeJoong’s brothers were looking annoyed at each other, but none of them said anything. It was as if they were afraid for their creator, the older vampire. YunHo turned his attention to the oldest vampire and saw that he was looking at him with a knowing look in his eyes, as if he knew what he was thinking! It made YunHo uncomfortable and he wished that the vampire would look away, and… he did it! JaeJoong’s creator looked away, just when he had wished that the vampire would do it. This was really strange and YunHo didn’t liked the thought that maybe, this vampire could read his mind. He pressed himself closer against JaeJoong and he felt how the vampire hugged him back again, responding to him. “Master, I will not accept that this would happen again, I trusted my brothers and I never thought that they would be able to do something like this, but they did it and they were ready to sacrifice MY mate for it! We all known that it is impossible for me to find another mate and that I it is simply NOT fair to YunHo that he need to pay for this. He doesn’t understand what is happening and I WILL NOT lose him. He is mine and I want to keep him with me for the rest of my inhuman life!” while JaeJoong spoke to his family he looked seething from the anger at his two brothers. “And… I have lost my trust in my brothers, I wish to not see them anymore after today.” YunHo tensed and looked up at JaeJoong, he needed to see his face to know that everything was still fine. And when he looked at JaeJoong, she saw that the vampire didn’t looked worried, he only looked REALLY angry, but not afraid or worried that something could happen to them. It seemed that JaeJoong really trusted his creator and that he felt safe to speak so freely now that the other older vampire was with them. JaeJoong turned his attention to his creator and spoke now directly to him. “I want permission to kill my brothers if they are trying to hurt my mate again!” JaeJoong’s words sounded harsh, but YunHo was relieved to hear them, it gave him a safe feeling, knowing that JaeJoong was trying to do his best for him, for his protection and safety. But, he didn’t had the guts to look at the oldest vampire to know if he would accept this. He was simply too afraid that he would hear or see something he didn’t wanted and that the older vampire wouldn’t give JaeJoong his permission, that he would support JaeJoong’s brothers and his other two adopted sons. He now closed his eyes and pressed his face flat against JaeJoong’s chest, trying to shut everything out.
He tried to think about happy things, things he liked while he tried to NOT listen to the vampires. He thought about his parents and how much he missed them, about YooChun who was his best friend and about home, his own bedroom, his other friends besides YooChun… But just when he did that he realized that that was not a good idea, he now became sad because he missed all those people and he wanted to go home! He swallowed and was happy that he still had pressed his face against JaeJoong’s chest because he knew that his eyes were now wet from the tears. He wanted to go home and to talk with YooChun about all this mess, he wanted to know his opinion, YooChun had always been his best friend and he had always known the right answers. YooChun was the one who really knew him and he was the only person who knew almost everything about him. [i]He just wanted to go home…[/i] “YunHo, are you alright?” He heard how JaeJoong softly called him and just then, at that same moment, he noted that he had cried so hart that JaeJoong had a wet spot on his chest from his tears. But now that he knew this, he was too ashamed to look up, knowing that the other vampires would have seen that as well. He was sure that they all thought badly about him, that he was a crybaby and that he was too weak and too useless for JaeJoong. He was afraid that JaeJoong’s brothers would laugh at him! So he didn’t looked up and didn’t answered JaeJoong’s question, he even didn’t trusted his own voice, he was afraid that his voice would crack when he would try to speak. “Excuse me” said JaeJoong to his family and before YunHo knew what was happening, he felt how JaeJoong lifted him up in his arms and carried him away. He closed the door to the living room behind him and carried YunHo to his own bedroom. JaeJoong knew that his family could hear every word he would say, but he also knew that YunHo wasn’t aware of that. JaeJoong sat down on YunHo’s bed and waited for YunHo to be ready to look up at him and until he had calmed a little. A few minutes passed and YunHo still hasn’t looked up, he was confused and didn’t understood his own feelings. There was just so much to he needed to over think and there was still so much he didn’t understood, he also wasn’t even sure IF he wanted to know what was happening. And more importantly, he missed his home and his best friend.
“J- JaeJoong?” YunHo still avoided it to look at the vampire and was still pressing his face against JaeJoong’s chest, not sure if he was ready to look up. “Yes?” he felt how JaeJoong stroked his hair and he felt how JaeJoong pressed a soft kiss on his head. YunHo was for a moment not sure what to do and how he needed to respond to JaeJoong, but eventually he looked up at the vampire and saw that JaeJoong had a caring look in his eyes. And it was strange for him, he had never felt this before, but he welt calmer knowing that JaeJoong was here for him and he was now brave enough to talk. “I don’t want to see you brothers again, please, let them go away!” he grabbed JaeJoong by both his arms and shivered only by the thought about the two vampires. He really thought about them as monsters and murderers. They were really dangerous and he didn’t wanted to see them again, NEVER! He now looked away from JaeJoong and was afraid for his reaction. “Can I return back to my home?” his voice sounded sad while he asked this last question and was afraid for JaeJoong’s answer because if he would say that he couldn’t go home and he didn’t wanted to hear that. “To answer you first question… Yes, I they will not come back to our home after today, my creator has personally ordered them to stay on a safe distance from us and…” JaeJoong paused while he tried to think of a way to explain this easy to YunHo. “When a vampire creates another vampire, he becomes the master or the younger vampire, a teacher and a new parent. The younger vampire CAN’T disobey his or her master.” YunHo thought about what he just had heard and nodded, “and did you, master… ordered you brothers to stay away from us?” YunHo fumbled nervous at his shirt and felt already a little better. “Yes, my brothers aren’t able to visit us or come near is as long as we aren’t inviting them to come back.” JaeJoong smiled comforting at his mate and was his creator really thankful for his help and support. But now he needed to answer YunHo’s next question and he wasn’t sure if his mate could handle it. He took YunHo’s smaller hands in his and felt that his hands were shaking. Worried he tried to warm YunHo’s cold and shaking hands and hated himself for what he was going to tell YunHo. “I’m sorry YunHo, but you can’t return home until I’m strong again. I can’t protect you and myself properly when I’m not inside my own home. But… I promise you that when I’m recovered we will visit you family.” JaeJoong didn’t said anything about YooChun, knowing that the human was his best friend and that his mate wanted to see him too. But it was not wise for YunHo to meet with his friend, there were so much things where YunHo couldn’t talk about with his friend, YunHo wasn’t allowed to talk much about JaeJoong and that he was a vampire. All what had happened since YunHo had left his home was a secret and it would not only be dangerous for YunHo himself to talk about this with a human but he would also bring his best friend in danger if he would talk about his new life. But JaeJoong didn’t wanted to tell his mate this, not yet. And YunHo responded as he had suspected, he lowered his head and his lip started to tremble. It was hurting JaeJoong to see his mate this way but he needed to be strong, for his mate. “I’m sorry YunHo, but you need to wait a little bit longer before I can bring you back to you old home to meet you parents. This is now you home YunHo, you are now home with me.”
YunHo cried now in silence, not sure if he needed to be relieved or not. He wanted to go home and to be with his parents, he was worried and afraid for his new life but he also wanted to be with JaeJoong, this was just so confusing! YunHo saw, just when he wanted to say something that JaeJoong had looked up, as if he heard something he himself had missed because his ears were not strong enough to hear the same as JaeJoong did. “My master is here” said JaeJoong and just when he had said that he heard how somebody knocked on the door to his bedroom. YunHo’s eyes widened and he looked worried at JaeJoong. “What do I need to do? Why is he here?” He looked around him and didn’t wanted that the vampire would enter his bedroom, but when he looked at JaeJoong he saw that he had no choice in this matter, this was JaeJoong’s master and creator, and if he wanted to enter he would do it. He swallowed and looked pleadingly at JaeJoong but he only shook his head with a apologetic look in his eyes. The door opened and the vampire stepped inside his room. YunHo’s first response was to back away from the vampire and he tried to hide behind JaeJoong who was still sitting next to him on his bed. “JaeJoong, I would a appreciate it if you would introduce me officially to you mate.” The vampire hasn’t walked far into his bedroom, he stood still just two steps away from the doorstep and didn’t came further. The older vampire looked at JaeJoong and when YunHo followed the look from the other vampire he saw that JaeJoong didn’t looked happy but he still turned around so that he could look at him. “YunHo, this is my master and creator, his name is John and he has been born in London, more than nine century ago.” He saw that JaeJoong still didn’t looked happy, as if he knew something he didn’t but before he could ask anything JaeJoong started to talk again. “And master, this is Jung YunHo, my mate. He is eighteen years old and he was already mine before he knew me. I have made a promise with his parents that I would come and take him when he was eighteen years old.” JaeJoong gave his mate a squeezed his hand to let him know that everything was still fine and that he didn’t needed to worry. But even now that JaeJoong tried to comfort him, he was still unsure and didn’t like it that the vampire, John, would know all this personal information about him. But what bothered him more than the fact that John knew this about him, it worried him more that JaeJoong still looked and acted strange, did he knew something he didn’t knew? “JaeJoong, will you leave this room for a few minutes so that I can talk with your mate?” Oh, what?! YunHo looked alarmed and shook his head, “No, stay with me!” he grabbed JaeJoong by his arm and looked afraid at the older vampire. He knew that even now that John had asked JaeJoong to leave, that it had not been a real question, but a order. “Master, he is not ready…” YunHo saw that JaeJoong looked pained at his master and that he didn’t wanted to leave him alone. “JaeJoong, you mate will be safe and nobody will hurt him while I’m here.” John spoke calmly and he had a friendly look in his eyes, but YunHo didn’t saw it. He was totally panicking now and he didn’t wanted that JaeJoong would leave him alone with the other vampire, not even for a second! But, JaeJoong had no choice, he needed to obey, just as YunHo needed to obey JaeJoong. “I’m so sorry” said JaeJoong in a whisper and placed a kiss on his forehead before he stood up and walked toward the door. “I’m waiting outside for you” was all what he said before JaeJoong closed the door behind him, leaving YunHo alone with John, JaeJoong’s master and creator, but more importantly, a vampire who would be able to kill him within seconds if he wanted and he was alone without JaeJoong to protect him, not knowing why the vampire wanted to talk to him and why JaeJoong needed to leave.
