I am feeling really upset at the moment. On Sunday my best friend Ruth rang to tell me her Dad had just passed away. She had just received the call from her Mum and was understandably VERY upset. We only spoke for a moment as both she and I were crying and she was on her way to Stansbury (about a 2 hour drive from Adelaide) to be with her Mum. ( Read more... )

Dad was released from the rehab hospital today. He has made remarkable progress and is now walking with a stick and only using his frame to go to the toilet (that is until handles etc. can be installed ( Read more... )

Dad was moved by ambulance on Friday from Victor Harbor Hospital to a rehabilitation hospital here in Adelaide. Mum travelled down by bus and I picked her up from the bus station and we went straight to the hospital to see Dad. He was fragile and teary the first couple of days but has come on in leaps and bounds ever since. He is having physio ( Read more... )
