Travel Dork Gets a "D" (Madrid)
Well in 48 hours of being in Madrid:
- Flicked a cockroach off my table in a restaurant recommended by "The Travel Dork" aka Rick Steves. (I still ate there anyway)[1]
- Had a prostitute grab my arm and wouldn´t let go for 50m, before she gave up.
- Was reminded of the spanish word for "scared" from said prostitute. [2]

Part of the reason why Convergence just doesn't cut it for me anymore is that I can come to Germany for the same price as it costs me to go to Convergence, but can see a buttload of bands, and dance ´til 8am with a crapload of my friends. Leipzig Update WGT2009
This has been one of the best Treffens I've had. It's been a very energizing and regenerating trip. I met up with so many old old friends and of course made so many new ones. This is a 'meeting' after all. I have loads to say, but I'll save that for when I have some down time.

3 Days in London, 3 Pubs, 30 miles.
Friday, I went to a pub called Big Red with nexus_six, had a few pints, geek talked most of the time. Later, we went to 'Unholy' at Scala. It should be called 'unworthy' b/c it was really dumb, the club was too huge for the crowd, the sound was crappy, crappy metal bands played upstairs. In London
Hopped on a flight directly from work, slept most of the way, watched Liam Neeson kill a whole bunch of Albanian Sex traffickers (martial arts was ok) in "Taken", slept more, ate passable vegan food, was interrogated twice by UK Passport agents, hopped on the Heathrow Express and here I am @ Reload Cafe at Paddington station.
