As it's been every year for the past four or five, yesterday's festivities were spent over at Allen's mom Corky's place in Hudson with her, Allen's dad, his stepmom, and their two kids, celebrating both ( our nation's independence, and Allen. )

This evening was one of those times where I had to stop and wonder what on earth we all did for the hundreds of years before there were cell phones. Because sweet caroline, ( we're suuuuuuuuure reliant on them now. )
