One of those brilliant-bordering-on-genius thoughts that hit in the middle of the night.  Then upon more clear-headed consideration turns out to be a bit trite.  But here it is:

"Social diversity is inversely proportional to the level of technological advancement."

How many people you know, including yourself, turned out the way their parents wanted them to?  A lot of parents tell their kids they're proud of them, but I'm betting it's a small percentage that fit well into the 'ideal' kid their parents hoped for.

 With July 4 approaching, thoughts of independence begin emerging -- not just traditional "Thehomeofthefreeandthebrave" independence, but the more personalized version.  It's common knowledge that nobody's really free (although I guess plenty of our countrymen have convinced themselves that they're 'living free or dying' buhgawd).

How many of us 'pre-digital' humans (no, I'm sure we all began w/ phalanges) have spent time digitizing those old b&w photos from our early days? Having received my baby book, along w/ a goodly amount of memorabilia, I spent 2 hrs. putting things into compressed, pixilated format.
