Notes: Met on Aug 23 at New Bark and evolved at lv 25 on Sep 20. Samehada simply adores Kisame and for about five minutes he thought she might be his sword, transformed into a fish. He realized she isn't but she only answers to Samehada now (though he calls her fish too, when he's annoyed). She's almost as violent as he is, but when out of battle all she wants to do is, uh, cuddle her master. She'll attack any other Pokémon without provocation, even if they're Kisame's, and he's working on teaching her to obey orders outside of battle. She loves her tentacles now that she's evolved (the better to hug Kisame with!) but he is not impressed with her being an octopus now. And she's finally getting better about not attacking his or Itachi's Pokémon. Even though she's fully trained up, she'll never go into storage because Kisame (secretly, really. Really!!) loves her.

Notes: Evolved on Sep 29 at level 20. Met on Sep 12 late night after following him all the way from Route 32. Nuru was a tiny, undersized Wooper at the time and lost a battle to Hiramekarei in the evening. When Kisame didn't catch her she...well, followed him home, nearly drying herself out in the process. Kisame decided to let her stay, but she thought the first thing he said was her new name. So she is now named what amounts to "slimy" but she doesn't mind. Very little can make her sad, and she's pretty clumsy but she's determined to make Kisame proud of her. She's kept up the extra training originally meant for Hiramekarei but she's learned that teasing a Gyarados isn't a good idea. Her goal is to kick Hiramekarei's ass someday in battle. Now that Nuru has evolved she's... still very undersized for a Quagsire, but she makes up for it in fighting spirit. She doesn't move as fast as she used to but she still acts very childish and sticks close to Kisame outside of battle. She can act bratty and likes to tease fire types. Kisame lets her get away with more than he should. She's also become something of a camwhore and will steal his 'gear to show off how cool she is. Notes: Kubikiri first attacked Kisame on the 22nd, just after he got out of Union cave. He flew straight at Kisame's neck, apparently trying to take his head off. Anago kicked Kubikiri's ass but he kept coming back, a little stronger each time. Finally, on the 24th instead of flying off after the ass kicking he just settled on Kisame's shoulder and was "caught." Kibikiri has a nasty scar over one eye (no feathers grow there) and a crack in his beak but he's a vicious, cutthroat and persistent fighter all the same. He may well be blind in that eye, but you'd never be able to tell because he's very good at picking up movement/sounds, even behind him and it makes him good at dodging. Kubikiri hates his Pokéball, and Kisame likes him enough to let the bird perch on his shoulder most of the time. It seems that the Fearow is Kisame with wings didn't have a flock of his own and was lonely, which inspired him to eventually just kind of join the group. He's standoffish with Kisame's other Pokémon, but all the same will try to attack anything that threatens his new little flock (which includes people Kisame spends a lot of time with). He's grown fond of his perch on Kisame's shoulder and was trying to hold off evolving, though he finally failed and evolved at level 30. He's pleased that Kisame is strong enough for him to keep his shoulder-perch, though he also enjoys soaring overhead for hours and hours now that he has the wings for it. Even though he's fully trained up, he'll never go into storage, because Kisame respects his hate of Pokéballs.

He spoils her a little, but is firm about her training. Homatsu would rather watch than fight, but she does go along with training happily. She really likes to sit on his lap, or curl up against his chest at night and has finally reached her full size. She is currently on the hunt for a Fire Stone because she wants to evolve. ...She may have a slight crush on Itachi's Growlithe.

Notes: Found during the brief flood on the 3rd. It actually took Kisame most of the day to get close enough to catch one, and of course, he caught the smallest of the bunch. Kiba is a third of the size of a normal Lanturn, and he decided that even if the name is a little masculine, it suited her. Not only because of the lightning factor, but because the sword Kiba's previous wielder happened to be the smallest of the swordsmen. Kiba is happy go lucky, and possesses an unusually powerful shock for her size, but she'd rather play around than battle. At Kisame's insistence she's started to buckle down and train, but isn't growing in the least. Now that she's evolved she's still tiny but somehow more adorable, but at least she can control her electricity properly now.

Notes: Fished up on Sep 6th on Route 31 at Level 10 and evolved on Sep 20 at lv 20. Hiramekarei is a pretty burly Gyarados now. Kisame decided he might as well continue his tradition of naming his Pokémon after swords, and he was slightly annoyed when the fish didn't know any good attacks at level 10. So Kisame decided extra training outside of battle was necessary to overcome the weakness. Hiramekarei didn't agree but he went along with it because he might as well go with the flow and he thinks the extra training actually made him a little tougher after all. Hiramekarei is pretty laid back and patient and he likes Kisame well enough because Kisame is taking good care of him. He really, really doesn't like it when Nuru shows him up in anything or when she teases him. His temper has shortened by leaps and bounds since he's evolved, but for a Gyarados he's quite laid back. He liked that he was the largest of Kisame's team, but Kabutowari is larger and he tends to sulk or try to pick fights with her when they're both out. Kisame had to put Hiramekarei in storage when he got two eggs for Christmas, but the Gyarados hates the cold weather and is glad only to be taken out for training. Kisame takes him out to train regularly so he can keep up with the rest of the party.

Notes: Caught in Union Cave on Oct 20. Kisame caught her primarily as a means of not getting lost in Union Cave. Then Kisame grew on her and when he tried to go through with his promise she decided to stay. He named her Kabutowari after one of the seven swords. Kabutowari is tough, even for an Onix, and not very affectionate, but she values determination and honesty, which is how Kisame won her over. Though she's a much lower level, she's not afraid to thump Nuru with her tail if the Quagsire misbehaves. She usually refuses to rise to Hiramekarei's baiting and is determined someday to surpass him. Once she hit level 100, she got put in storage unless they're traveling, though Kisame takes her out regularly to help the others with training.

Isonade hates EVERYTHING, including Kisame, but through training and Kisame being firm, is slowly starting to hate Kisame a little less. Since his evolution, he's gained quite a bit of respect for Kisame, and tries to Bite far less often. He will respect Kisame's orders not to attack his Pokémon and his traveling party or their Pokémon but he still hates just about everyone but Kisame. ...And Nuru who is is "mommy"
