Summary:My universe, Speed lives in this,but he hurts Ryan (not like that) in the past. Their relationship is in the past, and Ryan/Eric will be along shortly. Right now Ryan will go through a little bit of hell first with the guy he met after the breakup. And (poor Ryan) his trust will break even more.

"I'm gonna be a big brother." Jay told the receptionist.
"I heard. It sounds so exciting." She smiled at him.
"Hey Shelia. Have you seen Lee?" Ryan asked, coming up behind Jay.
"Break room." She smlied at them. Then added, "Jake's with him."
"Thank you." Ryan smiled back.
He was hit by laughter when he opened the door.
"Hey Jay. What are you doing here?" Lee asked.
"The sitter didn't show." Ryan looked pointedly at Jake.
"Oh yeah." He laughed. "Lost track of time. And I was called into work." he looked sheepish.
"Just drop him off with Eric. He hasn't seen where Papa works yet, has he?" Lee laughed.
"It's the only option. There's no one else right now." Ryan sighed. "This should be interesting."
"Hey." Eric whispered, turning away from Speed.
"Can you take Jay? Jake was pulled in." Ryan sounded faint.
"Yeah. I can do that. When will you be here?"
"We're walking through the doors now. We'll be up in a minute."
Eric smiled, heading for the elevator.
"What are you waiting for?" Calleigh asked, coming to stand beside Eric.
"Ryan's bringing Jay. Our sitter fell through at the last minute."
"Sick?"
"No, he had to work."
"So is Jay going to be hanging out here for the day?"
"Yeah. It's safer than patrol. At least I think so." He smiled at her as the doors slid open.
"Papa! I get to stay with you." Jay said, launching himself at Eric's legs. "Fun, fun, fun. Who's she?" He pointed at Calleigh.
"I'm Calleigh. It's nice to meet you." She held out her hand to Jay.
"Hi." Jay muttered, moving around Eric's legs.
"He's shy. He'll stop hiding when he gets to know about you." Ryan said, stepping off the elevator.
"About?" Eric asked.
"Yeah. Just talk about her. Jay feels comfortable around people he knows or knows about. Don't ask me why, it's just the way he is." Ryan shrugged.
"Ok. When-" Eric started as Ryan's radio went off.
"I'll come by later." He said and, kissing them both Ryan stepped back into the elevator.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Jay. I'll see you around." Calleigh said, smiling. "Have fun."
"We will." He said turning to Jay. "You've heard me talk about H, haven't you?" Eric asked.
When Jay nodded Eric held out his hand.
"Let's go meet him. Sound like a plan?" Eric said leading them away from the elevator doors.
"I'm fine." Speed said, handing the results to Horatio.
"Tim." He whispered.
"Is he smart?" They heard.
"Smarter than me." Was the answer.
"Nope. Not true." Jay responded.
Jay walked through the door Eric opened.
"Hi H. This is Jay." Eric beamed.
"It's good to meet you. Eric talks about you all the time." He crouched down to Jay's height, holding out his hand.
Jay held out the hand that wasn't attached to Eric.
"Hello."
"And this is Tim, but everyone calls him Speed." Eric turned them to.
Jay waved, and went back to hiding behind Eric.
The moment Calleigh was out of sight, she pulled out her phone.
"Alexx, Ryan just dropped Jay off. The sitter fell through, he's going to be here all day. He's so cute. You have to get up here."
"I'll be there in about an hour." Alexx replied.
"Ok. See you then." Calleigh said. As she closed her phone, Valera came up beside her.
"Who's cute?" She asked Calleigh.
"Eric's son, Jay. Ryan just dropped him off. Apparently their sitter fell through."
"Here are your results. Where is he?" Valera practically shoved the papers at Calleigh, and looked around.
"I would assume Trace, but they could be in the break room too. Alexx should be up in about an hour." Calleigh told her.
"Ok, I'll wait. Promise to come and get me though."
"I promise. I'll call." Calleigh smiled as Valera grumbled.
"I wonder what they're doing? I hope they're all right." Ryan burst out.
"Someone would have contacted you if they weren't. Calm down." Lee said, patting his shoulder. "Besides, you can probably see them when we transfer this guy."
"Yeah. I heard they want to talk to him bad. Whatever he's done or whatever he knows is gold." Jake said coming up to them.
"Is that why we're going with you?" Tray, Jake's partner, asked.
"No. It's because he's one dangerous son of a bi-"
"Lee." Ryan interrupted. "We're at work." He said shaking his head.
"Bitch." Lee finished. "What? We're outside work." He said to the noise Ryan made.
"But that's not the point. Never mind." Ryan said, walking away.
"Where are they?" Frank asked, turning to Horatio. "They should have been here by now."
"Who?" Alexx asked.
"Derk." Frank answered.
"Maybe the paperwork isn't done yet." Alexx said, trying to sound optimistic
"I hope you're right. I'm going to call." Horatio said, walking away.
"Hey. This is Wolfe. Leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Have a good day."
"Hi Daddy. Call us back. Maybe you could come by for lunch? Here's Papa." Jay said handing over the phone.
"Hey baby, only you would tell someone to have good day in your message. I know it's a little late, but if you can swing by let us know. Love you. Call us back."
"Love you too." Jay shouted as Eric pulled the phone away from his ear. "Did he get it?"
"Well, we'll know soon enough. Let's go say Hi to Alexx. I have a feeling she'll be here soon." Eric smiled at Jay. "I wonder where Ryan could be." He muttered.
