September Chill
Well, we squeezed out as much warm air and sunshine as we could this summer, but as soon as the long weekend came around, the temperatures nosedived from 25C to 9C. If the long-term weather report is in any way accurate, it'll be below average for the next fourteen days, and by below average, I mean, below 20C.

Rewriting The Book
I made a decision some time ago to rewrite The Book and to give it one last shot before trunking it once and for all. PITA
I have noticed that I'm a major pain in the ass when I'm not writing.
BUT
When I'm writing I drop off the face of the earth.

The silence is deafening
So where have I been? Writing, writing, writing. I’ve been writing until the words burned into my brain and spilled out of my ears, but the net result was a completed Draft Two of the Biohazard work-in-progress.

Been a while since I’ve had new content on either Livejournal or on my website. I really must rectify that.

- I’ve finished Draft Two of the current work in progress with the many-changing working titles (cWIP for short) and it is now in the hands of my two crit partners.

eBook Fail!
So I'm about to get an eReader (of some sort) when, as fate would have it, I come across an offer from Barnes & Noble for five free eBooks. Not just some random eBook from their vast collection, but recent bestsellers.
Neat deal, right? Sign me up. It can't hurt to actually get the books before I get the eReader, right?

The End (aka: First Draft)
I have dragged Biohazards out of the pits of Draft Zero and emerged with a First Draft.
It’ll go through a bit of manuscript formatting before I send it out to a couple of people for the first reading round.
It needs a lot of spit and polish, and some 5K fewer words (maybe more), but if nothing else I’m really happy with it.

Done! Sort of…
So I’m just shy of 97,000 words in Biohazard and I’m calling it a Zero Draft. I didn’t exactly finish it, though.
It’s more of a “I’m calling it Quits” than “Finally I can type The End” sort of Zero Draft, and it’s because:
- I know how it ends.
- No, seriously, I know how it ends.
