I am a Freecycle enthusiast. Freecycle, for those of you who don't know, is a group of people in an area who form a listserv and advertise for things they don't want - to get rid of - or things they do want. Cheap plumbing jobs
This may not mean a lot to most people, but today we got our toilet fixed. Five years ago, when we moved into the house, we noticed immediately that the toilet took forever to fill after a flush, prompting the user to ask the other occupant of the house whether they needed the bathroom before flushing. It started with our trip to Cornwall, where we met up with Rachel, Mark and the boys, Ali and Lucy, and Malcolm, to spend a few days together and sprinkle Ruth's ashes in the two places she had designated. I have seven invite codes for Dreamwidth, if anyone is interested. What I like about the journal is that anyone can comment, whether they are a Dreamwidth user or not. I also find it easier to post - with LJ, I use a client, because it has all the little HTML bits built in and I just press a button. This weekend was the Tewkesbury Re-enactment Festival. I had planned to go up, probably on the Saturday, to see the festival and spend some time with some lovely friends from the Wow end of the universe, like I did last year. A touching concert
Saturday past was the concert which contained "The Diaries of Adam and Eve." After six weeks of rehearsal, we had it down really well, and so all was needed was to add the orchestra and the two narrative parts. This we did on the afternoon of the show.
