Early this morning I took the Praxis II test at the University of Wisconsin-Madison so I can get my teaching license. It seemed pretty easy to me and I finished in 1:20 for a 2 hour test. This week will be my last week of student teaching. Wednesday is Earthday and I am planning 10 hours total of reading and writing  around environmental issues. Tomorrow is about Global Waring.  The 3rd graders are also going to take a carbon footprint quiz. This should be fun ( Read more... )

The neighbors across the street were throwing these bikes out, so we snatched them up. (In the neighbors defense, I'm sure they intended them to be picked up, not actually trashed.) This afternoon I rode downtown and I am enjoying a  locally brewed coffee stout at Bardbury's while I type my student teaching journal for the week. As I am fighting off a cold, I succumbed to my Sunday afternoon sleepiness and napped four solid hours. Now I am feeling a lot less sick and a lot less tired. That's good. However, I am now pushing 3 hours past my bedtime. That's bad. Real bad.
